Argh, is Paypal serious? My account was just limited because of supposed third-party access. As if that wasn't annoying enough, that little house call thingy that they have is useless, as my phone keys were stuck and I couldn't get the number across. As a result, my account will locked for the 7-9 days it takes for these assholes to send a letter to my house! Are they fucking kidding me? Why can't they just let me do the phone message over? Ad it's not like don't have payments due, or anything, oh no.

I'll double-post just this once, since my last one was over a week ago. A buyer sent back a bag that she won over without telling me first, wanting her money back. Trouble is, the bag is REEKING of smoke, and as a non-smoker and a seller, I really don't know what to do with the thing. Also, because she tried to iron out a crease in the thing, there is now a little snag on the front that I'm pretty sure wasn't there before. I'm really just annoyed that I didn't get any details beforehand, but I'm still expect to cater to this person. But still, should I just give her money back without question?

Even if you can't remember for sure if the snag was there before, I'd consider the reeking of smoke to be damage, as it would be a definite factor in its resale value. (I know I'm not alone in my severe allergy to smoke.) I don't see why you should have to cater to this person, she bought it, she ruined it, it's hers IMO. Did she pay with Paypal? If so you'd probably need to send the purse back using delivery confirmation in case she files a claim with them against you. She'll likely give you a neg, but if you state the facts of the situation calmly and concisely in your followup I doubt any future buyers would hold it against you. eta- Even if you don't have a return policy I don't think it's asking too much for people to use a little common sense. It's only fair that if she wanted a refund, she should have returned the bag in the exact same condition that it was when she received it. I have a question to all of you seasoned Ebay sellers. I have some light Ebay experience as a buyer (I have 59 feedback thingies), and I am thinking about using it to sell some very, very nice rings and a necklace. Does anyone know if it's worth doing for more expensive jewelry? You might do some searches for completed auctions.. try to find something similar to what you want to sell and see how well they did. Personally I would never buy (or sell) expensive jewelry through ebay, there is just too much risk involved.

See, I was thinking this way, too, but I know she isn't going to see it that way. If the bag picked up that strong of a scent, which I can smell across the room as I type, then it's possible the bag was close to her for quite a while and was possibly given a test drive outdoors. And, nope, she paid by money order, I believe, but at any rate, I don't know if I can use the delivery confirmation thingy since my Paypal account is still limited (the stupid letter still hasn't come in yet and I have payments due tomorrow. I'm screwed!).

I won an ebay item more than a month ago from Germany and the seller has sent the parcel two times now. Each time the carrier company says that they haven't been able to reach me, which I don't understand since I've been at home and I haven't recieved any note from them. Is that normal? I'm really tired of this, because I've stayed at home during daytime for that reason alone, just so I would be here if the parcel would arrive. Now I really don't know what to do. I haven't recieved my item, but the seller apparently has sent it because he gave me the tracking number so I could track it myself. Should I just give up? I can't wait at home forever as I really have other things to do.

Can you contact the delivery company with the tracking number and arrange to pick it up at a depot or something?

I asked the seller to do that, because it's a German company who apparently works with another national carrier company (it's very confusing for me) which I don't know and neither does the seller.
