One of our friend's came over last night and had me help him finish his 'Captain Douchebag' costume. He bought some silver track tights, and silvery under-armor shirt. I helped him mock up a giant clear sheet of plasic around his body, and we made the symbol for the front of his costume. He wants to wear a face mask of our esteemed leader, but fears the raging right wing red necks that haunt this place year round.

If I go trick-or-treating by myself, a high school student, at 9 PM, would that look weird? I really want candy.

This was my costume for a party on Saturday. I named her Henrietta. Note to self: Buy Crest Whitestrips.

My brother needed a costume quick, so he was Steve Sanders. He's a stocky guy, about 6'3", and he wore an orange button down shirt, buttoned all the way up, jeans that I tight rolled, white socks and brown loafers, and a huge blonde afro wig that we trimmed to approximate the Sanders-mullet. He carried around a blue folder all night that said stuff like, "West Beverly High 4-Ever!", "Class of '93," and "I8A4RE." Good times.

I went out partying on Saturday and I saw some cool costumes. My favorite was Bjork, complete with swan dress. There was also a group of Oompa Loompas that I enjoyed.

Now that's adorable ... right down to the little striped socks. Did you engage in the traditional dad practice of "screening" the Halloween candy? (What? You mean everyone's dad didn't try to skim the good stuff?)

How have I missed this wonderful thread?!
The coolest costume duo? My hubby as Jesus and me as the devil. We got SOOOO many free drinks in bars that night.
He had long hair then and wore it down. He had on a beige tunic thingy and Birks. I went to a craft store and got a wreath that was just branches so he used that as his Crown of Thorns. I dribbled red goo down his face for the blood. He used a big piece of tan fabric as a sort of shawl. He went around blessing everyone and showing his stigmata scars. It rocked.
I wore (and I can't believe I went out in public like this!) a red teddy, a see-through red skirt around my neck and another one as a skirt. I had red thigh highs and hooker red shoes that killed my feet by the end of the night. Of course, I wore devil ears and a tail and painted my fingernails dark red. It was SO much fun.
Before I met hubby, he went one Halloween as half man/half woman. One side was a suit and the other a dress. He curled one side of his hair and even shaved off half his beard and moustache. Now THAT'S Halloween dedication! It freaked people out.
Can you tell we were into shocking people? hehehe Now we're boring parents and I dress like Pippin for Halloween. snort.

I think we found the reason for the free drinks!
