FINALLY got my pics to upload! Elphaba and Galinda (from Wicked: The Musical--NOT The Wizard Of Oz, thank you!) Edward ScissorhandsWe had a hard time getting Elphaba's green on evenly, Edward looked better with the lip color (but the potluck buffet was too tempting!), and Galinda looked less like the Good Witch of the North and more like the Queen Mother circa 1948, but all in all, it was a very successful Halloween!

Wot? The curtains? (Sorry--your costume inspired me. Thanks--your crew's pretty good-looking, too!)

I'm bumping this thread because it's about that time. I want to be a Betty Page type pin up girl for Halloween this year. I don't, however, want to spend 60 bucks on a hoochie costume made of vinyl and felt. I want to try to create my own hoochie costume. So far I'm thinking black miniskirt, thigh-hi fishnets, a corset/bustier type thing, pearls, curly hair, high heels and cat eyed glasses. Does this sound about right? I have been wracking my brain for how to dress, and I believe I'm mixing up decades of fashion but no one will notice, right??

You could be a Composite Pin Up, especially if you go around shushing people (Sexy Librarian) or carrying a comically oversized hypodermic needle (Naughty Nurse). Otherwise, it sounds great, and wicked fun. Also, anyone who goes around seriously critiquing Halloween costumes for inaccuracies has a serious problem and needs to start cruising the discount racks for a life. In my awesome opinion.
I think I am going to try to go as zombie Bollywood star but the only thing I'm doing that night is the SPCA's pub crawl. We were given the option of dressing up at work on Friday, which is kind of dumb because that's two days before Halloween. My mean-spirited alter ego really wants to find mom jeans and sparkly seasonal sweaters, but I won't, mostly because it's bad karma and could end really badly. But I might wear cat ears or something, just because I would do that at any opportunity.

Oh, man. Now *I* want to find mom jeans and sparkly seasonal sweaters. I can be zombie mom because my chirruns have sucked the life out of me. Mwaha.
