This was too adorable not to share. I love an original idea for a kid's Halloween costume!

Miss P's halloween costume is almost finished. I need to make the iron-on patches to give it the authentic look, but she's going as Iron Chef Mike Symon. I modified a basic shirt pattern to end up with this. Here's a modeling shot. She insisted that I be Iron Chef Cat Cora - so I'll be working on that one this week. If she changes her mind and doesn't want to do the Iron Chef thing, she can always wear her Belle dress that I made for play. Last year she was Perry the Platypus from Phineas & Ferb. I was Dr Doofenshmirtz. I dread the day when she decides she's too cool to do coordinating halloween costumes!

We're thinking about dressing up as Deadwood characters for Halloween. The Mr. would be Wild Bill, I would be Calamity Jane and Hannah would be Al Swearengen. Because we are weird. We'd probably just tell people we're cowboys and keep the Deadwood thing and an in-joke between me and the Mr.

Shanmac, I suggest he be the guy from the Geico commercials ("could switching to Geico REALLY save you 15%? Does a wild bear...?"
That way you could be competing insurance companies. All you need to do is add the jacket to the "Chuck" costume....

Haha, thanks, ratscabies -- that's a great idea!
That's perfect, because whenever I see her on IC, I always think she resembles you. (And I think she's totally cute, so yay for you!)

We are being encouraged to dress up at work. I want to be Suze Orman but I'm not sure where to get the short blond wig I need.
