Has anyone seen a long white beard at Party City or analog? I was thinking about going as sexy Charles Darwin.
ETA: Yay! Found one, and under $20. Now I hope they have it locally. Once I get that, I'm just going to raid my closet and wear fishnets, miniskirt, heels, and carry a chimp (or finch, if I can find it) and one of his books. And sexy eyelashes.

We are going as Juggalos, aka followers of Insane Clown Posse. Zombie style of course.

Shanmac, I suggest he be the guy from the Geico commercials ("could switching to Geico REALLY save you 15%? Does a wild bear...?" That way you could be competing insurance companies. All you need to do is add the jacket to the "Chuck" costume.... I am totally stealing your idea. My BF is going as the Geico announcer and I am going dressed as a piglet. I think I can fashion a pig outfit out of everyday stuff, but if I can find an actual pig costume, that would be great. Pinwheels will be a bit harder this time of year but I'll make some if I have to.

I get to wear two getups this year. Day one will be a Mexican rancho from an old Mexican singing cowboy movie, day two will be Amelia Earhardt.

I wasn't sure what I was going to be, but I found this dress in a thrift shop and was like "ok, I guess that's what I'm gonna be for Halloween!" Paired with this headband, some black pumps, red lipstick and red nail polish, I'm good to go! A few days later, I saw the dress in H&M, being sold for real. It made me laugh. I can't see this dress as anything but a Minnie Mouse costume!

Boyfriend and I finally compromised on True Blood characters. I too am going to be Sookie, and Boyfriend's going to be Eric, even though he's my height at 5'7". He was going to be Bill, but I hate Bill and told him I'd want to stake him all night. Eric it is.

I can't see this dress as anything but a Minnie Mouse costume! Hee! I clicked on the dress without even reading the rest of your post, and immediately thought, "Minnie Mouse!" I have a framed Mona Lisa painting (20 x 24) with the canvas around the face cut out, and you place your head in there. It's held on with a strip of elastic across the back of the frame. In the old days, I'd wear a brown long sleeved, empire waisted dress and roller skates with it. These days, it's enough to just strap the painting on wearing basically...anything. (I painted the de-faced Mona Lisa portrait...and I must admit, it's very cool.)

Awesome! I never ordered my costume because we weren't sure if we were going to a party or not, so now I have options if I do decide to dress up. Thanks! That is hilarious that Progressive does that.

Anybody know where I can buy an apron for my Sookie costume? I really don't want to pay $20 for it!
