I saw that TrafficChick posted in here and I got all excited. My first thought, "What will they be this year?!" Sorry, no pressure. Also, pooch? You're crazy! But thanks a lot, now I want Twizzlers. *shakes fist*

I was wanting to be Medusa but now I want to be a forest elf/nymph. I want to fashion a toga or dress out of some shiny green or gold fabric, pin fake leaves everywhere and do some fun makeup (Greeeen! Glitter!). And pointy ears! My boyfriend wants to be Indiana Jones, which I think will be hot.

Just curious, but what night should I expect trick or treaters? This is my first time living in a real neighborhood, already have my orange lightbulb in the front and will have lots of jack-o-lanterns by then. I want to make sure I'm home the right night! Oh, and I am going to be a robot with this light up panel that changes according to sounds. It's from a bag bc I don't know how to do light up things, and didn't even know that light up costumes were a thing now!
That Human Centipede is amazing. Her poor knees.

Okay, so now my daughter said SHE wanted to be Nancy Drew. So we got her a really cute dress and a sleuth bag and she can wear her trench coat over it to keep warm.
But now I have no idea what I should wear. I don't know who to be! I kind of don't want to be Mrs Weasley.

[/color] And Mariposa, I've only ever had trick-or-treaters on the actual Halloween night, regardless of what day of the week it fell on.

But be ready for them by 6 (and possibly earlier for a couple of young ones.) I'd also ask your neighbours how many kids they usually get. At my old house, we easily got 100-120 kids a night and I was woefully unprepared the first year.

Thank you, it was a stupid question, I know, but the adults act like it's Halloween all weekend long, so I didn't know if that was a new trend for the kids as well. Neighbors said to buy more candy than you think, I can't wait! I have never lived in a neighborhood with trick-or-treaters, so I'm really excited to see all their little costumes. Now if I can stop eating all the Snickers out of the mix bag...

I'm going to Club Noir Halloween night on 29th October in Glasgow (It's a burlesque Cabaret and club night) and I am dressing as a Psycho Sailor pin up girl, I have a fake severed hand as my "Trophy" and I'll cover my arms in fake blood maybe splatter some on my face and also have handcuffs attached to my wrist as I'll have escaped from the ships prison area. I think one should always dress as something sinister for Halloween.
