I can't find the gown I was going to use for my planned Queen of Hearts costume, so instead I'm going as a poison ivy witch. Once again I left off Halloween preparations until the last minute.

I found a site that showed how someone did the Bride hair - they stuck two or three of those bun donuts in their hair and pinned up the rest of their hair over them. I tried it out kind of yesterday and I think it will work. I have a wedding dress too, so I'm ALL SET! Plus a bunch of scar tattoos.

Fabulous work, TrafficChick! You both look positively wonderful. I spent entirely too much time today making my youngest cosplay boots out of duct tape for her She-ra costume. They are a little big, but she has no problem getting them on and off, which was my biggest concern. (My youngest has Fred Flinstone feet--square, flat, and wide.) I've completed the gold fabric appliqué on the front, and now I just need to tackle the crown and wrist guards. I told MMS that I'm making up for the Halloween when she was two and wanted to be a ghost. I literally purchased a $2 white pillow case, ripped holes for her arms and head, tide a hunk of rope around her waist and called it good. I'll post a picture once I get the entire thing finished--it won't hold a candle to TrafficChick's endeavor, but we all can't be goddesses of the sewing machine.

Don't know why it double-poseted. My bad. . .?

My coworker's three year old is going to be a Jedi, and she has already figured out that if she asks him to get into Jedi mode, he'll calm down and focus. She will be using this loooong after Halloween!
