You rang?It also has the cloak, but I haven't gotten a complete picture yet. I still have to make my costume. She wants me to go as Elsa. I haven't even bought the fabric yet.

Excellent! I am as humbled as always at your creativity. Thank you for humoring me, and Miss P is as adorable as always.

I'm super jealous of your skills, TrafficChick. My youngest wants to go as She-ra, but I cannot find any children's sized costumes through the entire internet. I've pinned a few cosplay tutorials, ordered a white leotard with a built-in skirt and a red cape, and I'm going to hit the fabric store this weekend to see what I can use to make the appliqué, arm bands, and head piece. Wish me lots of luck, because I never took home ec in school and can't sew to save my life.
(I'm really kicking myself for being a rebel and taking welding my senior year, which I've never actually used since the class. Damn-it, why couldn't she want to be Ironman. I could probably polish up my rusty skills and weld something together for that.)

I am considering being Bride of Frankenstein. It's all about the hair. Is it weird if I'm that and Mr L is NOT Frankenstein, nor anything related? We are hosting a party and I really want to be the BRIDE!!!
Making an arctic fox costume for my eldest, and my younger son wants to be a gorilla, with red dragon wings and red bull horns. Who knows where that came from. The baby wants to be a cat with purple wings. I appreciate their mash-up approach to costuming.

Awww! HGTV's little cousin is going as ninja-Chewbacca. Yay, creativity.

Gigiree - felt is a great option to do applique because it doesn't fray and it's nice and sturdy and glues well. Also, it's pretty cheap at the dollar store.
Batgirl is going as Hermione. Age 10 has been the year of all things Harry Potter. We went to Value Village to find a tie and a cloak and asked the 'Halloween Coordinator' if they had a red and gold tie and she said "ah, Hermione." I'm guessing she's pulled together a lot of Harry Potter costumes over the last 15 years or so.

Could you go as The Strong Independent Monster Who Doesn't Need a Frankenstein, and wear your hair anyway you want with that stripe of white?

Could you go as The Strong Independent Monster Who Doesn't Need a Frankenstein, and wear your hair anyway you want with that stripe of white? I decided I'm just going to be dead me. I found some temp tats that make you look like you're bleeding from the eyeballs and the neck. Dirty up my hair and rat up an old T-shirt. Put some plastic spiders in my hair. I'd put some effort into it if I had anywhere to be.
