A friend of ours has a Fit, and he looooooooooves it. I hope you enjoy yours, too!
Was it LPatrice who got a Dodge Caliber? I'm interested in hearing how that's working out for her.

Our old car was a 1985 Dodge Aries named Suzie. I miss her, but she was a piece of crap.

I named my Volvo Car. And I say it with a smile and pat to the dash. I love her as much as I hated the Dodge Neon named Piece of Sh*t that liked to stop in intersections and ate tie rods. It had less than 80k on it when I sold it for $800.

God, I hate Neons. I had to get my engine rebuilt at 50K miles. Dodge paid for half because it's something that "just happens" with them. I heard PT Cruisers are basically Neons under the hood, so I'd avoid those suckers too.

Don't be scared Mafia Angel. I think most of the Neon problems were with the pre 99 models. I could be wrong, but the other 2 people I knew who had the same problems had the same model as me, 96. Damned car, I hope it's dead!

weekender, may I ask what it cost to replace the eaten tie rods? My Scort won't pass inspection because my tie rod ends are bad, but my financial situation has been so tight that I'm afraid to even go for an estimate. In reality I know it can't be as bad as I imagine (few things ever are; damned fertile imagination).

So I'm a "new" Alberta resident (ie: no longer a full-time student) so I need to switch my car insurance, license etc over to Alberta. Holy crap, why does this have to be so expensive? So far... $70 for driver's license $10 for inspection form $180 for inspection
And now I find out I have to replace my windshield before I can pass the inspection. Everything else with my car is fine but now this is another added expense I really can't afford. I've gotten an estimate for $200 plus tax, does that seem good? One place told me 450+, hell no.
Man I love having a car but it is way too much work and money sometimes.

Noelie, I think around $100, but can't say for certain, it was about 4 years ago that I remember having one replaced.

Thanks, weekender! Even with inflation, I'm guessing it can't be much worse than that now, especially since my mechanic is really trustworthy. Whew! Maybe I'll be a legal driver before the new year!
