You can eat my chower curtains, Brookie!
I suppose this is more related to selling than to shopping, but I have several big bags of clothes I want to get rid of. They are all in good shape -- they just are either not my style or don't fit. Do you think I'd be better off trying to sell them on eBay, or taking them to a consignment shop? I'm not expecting to get a lot for them, but something would be nice. I usually give my old clothes to Goodwill, but damnit I spent a lot on these clothes!

Sleepy - You could donate the clothes to a battered women's shelter or something like that too. I know you wouldn't be getting paid for them, but they'd all be used.

That's a good idea, Brookie. I'd feel good about getting rid of them that way, especially as some of them are business-type clothes and I'm sure there are women who need that sort of thing for interviews. Thanks for the idea.

A friend of mine runs a Welfare-to-Work women's program in Philly that takes donations. Most cities have some variation of that kind of program.

Has anyone ordered from Bluefly? I'm looking at a couple purses from there, so sizing isn't a concern. It would be extra helpful if anyone knew how their sales work. One of the purses is discounted until 6 a.m. tomorrow, but the other more expensive purse I'm looking at dropped $40 in price overnight. I'm wondering if I should wait to see if it drops more, or if they don't actually reduce prices that often and I should take advantage of the discount on the cheaper one.

I'm going to be bad today and break out a credit card and go clothes-shopping. I haven't bought myself any clothes in a long time, and the itch is becoming unbearable. Plus, we're going to visit my sister in Philadelphia in a few weeks, and she's a fashion designer, and I am... definitely not, so I'd like to feel confident in my clothes. Not that she gives a hoot, but still, I'll feel better. Wish me luck!
