I really suggest getting a protective case. I bought iPod armor when I first bought me iPod, and it has saved me from disaster on more than one occasion.
There's nothing like your first night with your iPod. Enjoy!

Preach it!
I get up to Opry Mills a few times a year- but Briley Parkway is always such a deathtrap, sometimes I will cruise on over to Green Hills Mall. They just got a Sephora and Tiffanys is on the way. MrB thinks it is snooty but I think its a nice place to relax- usually not too crowded and everything is always clean and shiny. I like clean and shiny. And of course, the Mothership for Borokat- Pottery Barn Kids.
For you southerners, I would highly recommend Lenox Square Mall in Buckhead, Atlanta. It is awesome shopping, ie- Crate and Barrel, Macys, etc. But I would not venture there on a weekend night- kinda sketchy.

I guess I am lucky, cause Briley from the north isn't too bad, but when I am having a hissy fit at the end of April from having to drive to BNA to pick up the husband on R&R and dealing with the people who get their drivers licences out of the crackerjack box we will high tail it to Opry Mills so I can hang around Harry and David peddling my four year old for more samples.
Any way today we had the grand opening of Kohls here in my town. And like any and every store opening, it was packed annoying and just a hassle trying to get in and out. But I got some good deals on kid stuff and a really cute pair of sandals with beading. Granted I spent $70 more than I intended to, but it was fun.

I used to live right around the corner from Opry Mills. Like, 5 minutes away. Heaven, especially when Thing 1 was little and the Carter's and Osh Kosh outlets were right there. Now we're way the hell down in Antioch and it's a big hairy deal to get up there, but I still manage it every other month or so.
I don't suppose any of you near-Nashville people know of a really good kids' consignment store? My best friend is visiting me next week and wants to go consignment shopping (she's pregnant) and I only know of Once Upon a Child, which at least is nearby but I don't know how good it is.

I have heard that there is a good one in Franklin but I cannot remember the name- maybe if you Google it, it will pop up. I would hit TJ Maxx (Franklin's is the best) for some good Ralph Lauren/Tommy Hilfiger baby clothes deals.
I love Carters- I have a coupon burning a hole in my pocket and LilB needs sandals. I also like the Disney outlet at Opry Mills- I have a Mickey Christmas tree every year and you can get some great ornament deals. I was so sad when the Mary Engelbreit store closed- I was a HOOOGE fan.

My mom is a big fan of her stuff. Well, actually not so much anymore. I think she's having other people do her stuff. She still buys her calendars every year, though.

Ive been to the Outlet Village in Williamsburg: its charming. Woodbury Commons outlets is big but either picked over or they just have lots of stuff that is specifically made for outlets (a common practice). That's how I felt at the Chanel, NM, and Prada outlets there. The Etro, Judith Leiber, and Gucci outlets there are awesome though.

Limey and Thingamagig, how are you guys doing up there? Our tornado siren just stopped, but there is another one coming- we spent 30 minutes in the bedroom with TheBorokatDog. TN is sure getting a beating today, isn't it?

I just had a fantastic trip to the outlets. I got a super cute pair of black leather Sketchers for $30, a Polo sweater for $15, some tiramisu Harry & David coffee, and my husband insisted I get an absolutely gorgeous Coach spring jacket.
