That is very nice! I love the hand-dyed variegated threads.
I also cross-stitch, but I haven't done any in the last 10 years or so. This hasn't stopped me from subscribing to The Silver Needle's stitching circle kits. I finally started one last weekend, and it's stitched 1-over-2 on 40 count linen. My eyes are 10 years older than the last time I stitched and I think I need to get one of those magnifiers!

I have a standing Ott lamp magnifier. I love it. It allows me to see all the cat hair trapped in my stitches. If you have a coupon for JoAnn’s you can get it at a good price.
I love hand-dyed threads for certain projects. They are working well on this one. I have a huge hat box full of mostly Gentle Arts Sampler Threads and Weeks Dyed Works. I haven’t really been following the color key—I’ve been eyeballing it and working with what I have in my stash. I did buy six skeins of Weeks Dyed Works Palomino for the border, though. I wanted that to all be the same shade.
My little nieces really love this pattern and I’ve been thinking about doing their favorite blocks for each of them as a separate piece, but I have four nieces!
The oldest one has been doing some stitching. Maybe I’ll give her the supplies and tell her to make it herself. She really likes the fox.

Seconding the Ott line of lamps. They sell them at Michaels, too, and have a deserved cult following.

My favorite craft project I've seen on TikTok is a woman who is knitting (maybe crocheting?) a temperature scarf. She assigned temperatures by 10 degrees a specific yarn color and then she knits a row with the high temp of the day and one row with the low temp of the day. I think it looks so cool that I'm tempted to trying crocheting again after failing miserably 30+ years ago. Here's an example.

I actually posted on here last fall that I wanted to make a temperature afghan like this one for my son's senior year in high school. Not sure if I still want to. I guess I could put in a special stripe marking the day when (if) they actually start attending classes in person.

I have thought of learning to play guitar. Any tips for buying one?
