So what do you do when you aren't posting to kick-ass pop culture message boards?

Oooh, I love hobby questions. I guess I'll go first, since everyone else is posting on the Pictures thread.
When not skiving on CPMCoG, I work, read (I afraid have over 2000 books-and counting-cluttering up the house), drink martinis with my friends, putz around the cabin on weekends, attend the Opera, go for walks with the Mister, cook overly rich food, amuse the cat, go to varied and sundry community meetings, and avoid dustbunnies. Occasionally we'll play golf, but I really suck at it. I'm much better at drinking in the clubhouse afterward.

Shop! I've been on a shopping rampage. It's not good. It's not like we have extra money, but I keep buying stuff. I must be stopped!!! It's not even usual for me. Last weekend, I spent about $200 at Macy's. I also bought $100 worth of new undies, $70 at Clinique, $40 at a jewelry store. It's fun, but uh-oh. I think this is a hobby I'm going to have to quit! ;D

I paint. Nothing that would make Picasso roll over in his grave, but I've sold about 100 of my paintings on ebay over the past few years. All abstract, so I can do whatever the hell I feel like without having people go, "THAT doesn't look like a sea gull!"

I'm a big knitter when I find the time and lately that hasn't been too often. I'm just starting a cardigan for myself, which is a change of pace from making stuff for the kids and hubby. Maybe I'll finish it sometime this millennium but I wouldn't bet on it.

Gosh, you all do cool, arty things for hobbies. I've tried to knit -- I can't. Seriously, people have tried to teach me several times now. I just can't seem to grasp the concept. For a while I did cross-stitch, but I always threw them away when I was finished because who needs foofy stupid needlework around the house (well, other than my grandma, that is). I started to crochet, and I could do it, but I'd get bored long before I finished anything. Painting frustrates me. I like making collages, but again, what do you do with them when you're done?
Mostly I just pose for pictures for my wonderful photographer of a husband. He's gifted, yo.
I guess my favorite pasttime is organizing things. I kid you not. Papers, closets, clothes, jewelry, pantries, books, CDs, you name it. There is something so soothing and relaxing about letting your mind zone while you are being productive (I enjoy cleaning for the same reason). Go on, let the mocking begin.

Sleepy--Organize? That is a word? In English? Get to my house now! It needs serious help.
My favorite hobby is to procrastinate over simple things..like taking the meat out of the freezer so it thaws in time for dinner. Shite. Got to go. Nah, in a minute.

I wish I could knit. I sew on occasion, but it's mostly mending type things. I'm acquiring clothing for the vintage clothing store I plan to open. I'm thinking of doing it online first and then go brick-and-morter when I have more dough. So yeah, mending is a big part of that.
Also I'm working on draft three of my novel. I can only describe it as Bridget Jones meets John Waters (John Waters? Boy do I wish!). It's a white trash version of chick lit. I basically got sick of reading about Prada shoes and Cosmopolitans. My characters wear Payless and drink Jack Daniels.
And wine tasting. The man and I love to go wine tasting. Since we live in the Bay Area, there are a lot of places to go. I tend to avoid Napa though, since it's too commerical.
