I do not like the Lush store at Tyson's Corner! It's too small, and only one employee who could either be selling on the floor or ringing up people. It's nuts.

True confession: I don't like the LUSH stores at all. The smell is too strong for such relatively small spaces. And they're usually packed, too. When I'm in Atlanta, I go to the LUSH counter they have at Macys at Lenox Mall as opposed to the store they have just one floor up.
But that won't stop me from going into the new store in Antwerp! I WILL brave the overpowering smells to have my Aqua Marina and Gorgeous!

I am a recent convert to Lush. I've fallen in love hard and it takes all the willpower I have to prevent me from going broke in the store. I'm going on vacation in a couple of weeks and naturally I want to bring my newly discovered treasures along. Will I have a problem with airport security? Will they see my tins and giant chunk of soap as drugs/a bomb?
ETA: I only use carry-on luggage so I won't be checking anything.

I don't think so. I just flew this past weekend with a massage bar in a tin and no one said anything. Just be careful about liquids (shampoos, toners, etc.) as they have to be under 3oz.

I tried out the Hair Doctor last week -- a pre-wash hair treatment and am very pleased with the results. Even though it's a week later and I've washed my hair several times since my hair has been very sleek and smooth (as sleek and smooth as curly hair will get, anyway!) and feels very soft even with my usual amount of hair gel in it. I am curious to try the Greased Lightning blemish stick--has anybody tried it out? Results?

I haven't been using it lately, because my skin has been staying clear (although I should probably start, since I've probably just jinxed that).

Maybe it is only in a pump bottle. I haven't actually seen it in the store, just noted it in the last newsletter I got and thought it looked interesting. My skin has been pretty good lately (gotta admit that's not due to Lush products, though. I've been using Clinique facial soap) but I'm sure at some point I'll be dealing with a breakout so it's good to have a backup product plan.

I was just checking my inbox and saw this:
So for any of you stragglers who want to give a gift and keep one for yourself, have at it.

I just discovered their solid shampoos, and now I never want to go back to liquid. They're like giant crayons for your hair!

daria - the solid shampoos are great. Just don't store a wet one in one of the shampoo tins. It'll be there forever.
