I need a LUSH store in Seattle. The closest one is across the lake in Suburban Hell. I hate it over there. It scares me. There's a new store in downtown Seattle and I get paid today!

I'll be stocking up on the "B Never too Busy to Be Beautiful" shower gel. I ordered a big bottle the last time the "Old Faves" came around and it's great - honey scented. Now if they'd do a honey scented cream, I'd be happy. I'll just have to settle for the "Mange Too" massage bar until then. Sigh.

Shan, if you check out the Lush forums, there is one thread for henna results, with before and after photos, what people have mixed in, etc. so you can get a good idea of what your hair should look like. As far as I know, though, yeah, the Caca Brun would be really subtle on you (if it made a change at all). A lot of people use half, say, Brun and half Marron for slightly different results. But I think if you check out the thread you will get a good idea of what would work for you. I do know that if you use the wrong colour for your hair, it can have really unfortunate results. Although I've heard the Rouge is not good for blond hair, and my hair is essentially blond and that's what I use. It is a pretty intense orange, though. But I have been using it for three years and I don't think my hair was this blond when I started. Also, be aware that henna is hard to get out, and the more you henna it, the more it stays. Since your hair is so dark AND you don't want to dye it with regular dye at all (it seems like) it may not be an issue, but I am pretty much stuck with this colour until it grows out (I think it is hard to dye over). I like it, so that's fine, but still. My mom's hairdresser was horrified to hear I was using henna, but she makes her living from hair dye, so... take from that what you will. And when I last got my hair cut, the hairdresser said it was dry and damaged, but again, he's trying to sell products, so... I rarely even blow-dry it, and the only colour that has touched it in years is henna, which as far as I know is not damaging. But maybe there is a conspiracy to make us think henna is better than it is!

Also, be aware that henna is obtained from the Middle East and we are unable to get any right now due to the unrest over there. We are completely out of Caca Noir and Caca Brun, and will not be getting any in the forseeable future. You could buy the solid "Reincarnate" shampoo; it has henna in it.

Really? The LUSH site says it's "in stock" and lets me put it in my cart. Hmm.
Thanks, LC, I'm heading over the forums. Sigh. Now I want to henna it *now*, but I vowed I wouldn't do anything to my hair until after the wedding. And you're right, I don't want to dye it, so that's not really an issue for me.

Maybe they have it in stock, but aren't sending it out to the shops. Dunno; we don't have any, aren't getting any, and the store I trained at couldn't get any either.

Boo. I'm tempted to buy some now and just hold onto it, in case I can't get it when I actually want to henna it.

Boo. I'm tempted to buy some now and just hold onto it, in case I can't get it when I actually want to henna it. The henna won't go bad. When I was using it, I would buy the big block and use half of it on my hair and the other half several months later. (I gave it up because I wanted to try a different color in my hair, and the Caca Noir did NOT work in my hair.)
