I think the carnies will go to help Ben because, as we've been told before, carnies stick together.
That's why Lila tried to overthrow Management, because Lotz was a carnie and they covered up his death. Not very carnie-like.
I like the thought that the misfits of society have to band together and save the world. It's so comic-booky.

I was totally into it until Sofie whipped out the gun and killed Jonesy, and then went to heal Justin. Talk about wiping away everything we've learned for the past two seasons. Cop-out.

Huh. I rather liked this episode, though there are so many unanswered questions at this point that I'm about to go nuts.
I'm really, really hoping we get another season so that this whole Omega thing can be fully explained (or, as close as this show comes to an explanation). It seems almost as if Sophie has the powers of both Justin and Ben. I'm not totally convinced yet that she's evil, but killing Jonesy was definitely not a good act at all.
All the above aside, I kinda like the idea that Justin was really just the warm-up act for the real power of Sophie. As long as they keep calling her the Omega and not an Avatar, it doesn't violate canon. Ben would never suspect anything at all and it could make for some great drama with the rest of the carnies.

If it goes for another season, my bet (based on pure speculation) is that Sophie is preggers with Ben's kid. Didn't they have sex? So she might be evil but the good within the baby can counteract that? Or something?
There's a good chance I've been watching Charmed too much and I'm obsessed with the idea of magical powerful babies.
I hated the Sophie shoots Jonesy scene because when Jonesy hit that guy on the head I was like "Jonesy, take the gun! Take the gun! PICK UP THE DAMN GUN!" and then he untied Sophie and she picks up the gun and I wanted to choke Jonesy.
It's such a TV cliche. Someone has a gun, you hit them on the head, leave them there with a mild head injury and a gun in their hand and then turn your back. Stupids. ALWAYS TAKE THE DAMN GUN!

Yep, it takes more than a knock on the head with a board to take out ol' Varlyn. I expected Jonesy to stumble out with Sofie and be staring right down the barrel of Varlyn's gun. Would have been cool if Sofie shot him, too, but the Jonesy killing showed that she'd totally given into her evil nature.
Now, if her mother had been loving and informartive instead of a control freak who tried to scare her onto the straight n' narrow, things might have been different.

The ending made zero sense to me, I was like, huh? So just because your daddy's evil that means you have to be too? Didn't she just tell Justin to go to hell? And what was the deal with her shooting Jonsey? And it looked like Ben is the new "Management?"
57 minutes of my life I won't get back.

I really enjoyed this season and couldn't wait for the finale. However, after that ending, I don't think I'll watch another season.

That's what made no sense. There's the Avatar of Good and the Avatar of Bad, right? So if Ben is the son of the previous Avatar of Bad, Scudder (who really didn't seem that bad at all), he should be bad too if Sophie is. And wouldn't Sophie have exhibited some sort of bad behavior along the way? Aside from the snit she got into when she felt played by Jonesy, which really wasn't evil, just petulant.
I think Sophie is something else entirely. She's the Omega, maybe that means she's the end to all of this Good-versus-Bad Avatar nonsense. I'd love it if she ended up as the Avatar of something like Total Chaos, such a bad thing that both Justin and Ben had to work together to turn on her.

So Ben the Idiot stabs Justin in the heart with his special Bad-Guy-Killing Knife. But whoops! He's only mostly dead.
How does this crap get made?
