Actually, katiebear, the first time he tried to stab Justin, he broke his pretty knife. They must have made WWI weapons out of styrofoam, if the toughness of someone's skin was enough to snap it in half. Yeesh.
I've officially lost my suspension of disbelief. All of the hours I've spent, defending this show, only to be socked in the gut by a left field ending. Bah, humbug.

So, any chance of a third season?

I think they make the decision in June, IIRC.

bump to ask if anyone has heard further news about the show's fate?? I guess we got some closure with Brother Justin dying (but then coming back?). But I want to see what this Sofie as the Omega means.
Also, color me mad that she killed Jonsey. He was my favorite secondary character!

Damnit! They canceled Carnivale. I'm totally unsatisfied with the way it ended. There are too many loose ends and unanswered questions.

After the way the finished up this season, I lost total interest. Glad this mess of a show is over.

Aw, I'm just so nostalgic for the first season. Sniff.
Wow, the site is wonkier than Melissa Joan Hart's eyeball today.

I'm kind of glad it's cancelled. It gave me a headache trying to figure it out.

BagOfBones asked:
I don't think so. IMDB shows Jeff Beal, Wendy Melvoin and Lisa Coleman as responsible for the original music for Carnivale and Stewart Copeland, Emilio Kauderer and Tom Maxwell for Dead Like Me. The shows were also roughly contemporaneous, and I would think scoring two such shows would be heavy going. It's probably just a case of coincidence. (Then again, I managed to identify a section of "Rhapsody in Blue" in high school music because I noted that it sounded like something from the "Peanuts" cartoon shows.)
