Special K, HAH, me too! That was so funny. It's been hilarious this season because it seems like so many of the contestants don't take Jeff as seriously as people typically do and I think it was bugging him.

I didn't see that, but I can't say it would amuse me. I don't think Jeff is smug; he's just doing his job, which is pointing things out to the Survivors about each other.
However, Courtney IS smug.
Why do they recruit people for this show anyway? Surely, they get thousands of applicants. I am sick of celeb-wannabes on this show and want more regular people.

Now Denise is admitting that she was misleading and the school board press release is correct. She's donating the 50K to charity. Good for her for at least doing the right thing when she got called out on it. Lunch Lady won't take money

What a dumb thing to do. Why would she even say something like that when it is so easy to reveal as a lie? Why? Is it the desire for more attention? Obviously she wants attention or she wouldn't have gone on a reality tv show. Since she didn't win did she just feel it necessary to come up with another way to regain the focus?
Whatever.

Why do they recruit people for this show anyway? Surely, they get thousands of applicants. I am sick of celeb-wannabes on this show and want more regular people. They acting cast them via casting agents and modeling agencies. Yup. If you notice they started getting better looking people in after 2 seasons. They are giving people the T&A that Americans crave. Form over substance. So when you see "waitress" under the occupation? It's "ACTOR". They don't want to put actor or model, so give their other job instead. "Bartender" Actor/Model. Or "wrestler" it really means "Wants an acting career and this is publicity", etc.

I get how they cast them; I just don't understand why. It would be different if no one was auditioning for it anymore, but thousands still do. We've had contestants on the past few seasons who have casually mentioned in post-show interviews that they applied for Survivor several times before getting in.
So they're getting lots of "regular people" applications. I just don't see why they think these model/bartender/actor types are appealing. Are there that many people who watch Survivor for T&A? From comments by the survivors themselves, it seems like a lot of kids/families watch.

I really wish they wouldn't cast the good looking folks, because let's face it, it's the Sue Howe types, the Lunch Ladies and the sheep farmers that really rock that show. If you take a look at Survivor Sucks board you'll see how much of a big draw the looks of the model/actor people are. Unfortunate for those of who like interesting people more than big breasts.

I always get grossed out when the skinny girls with big fake boobs lose a bunch of weight but their boobs stay the same size.

Well, I like James. I know people would consider him nice to look at on TV, but I guess, Survivor got lucky, that they cast a real blue collar kind of guy in James.

James was my favorite this season. I stop watching after he was voted out. I almost missed the finale because I just stopped paying attention to the show after he left.
