One of my professors was the guest on Tuesday night's episode. That was pretty fun.

Sloppy Cronkite.
This show never fails to have me laughing my ass off and shaking my head in disgust at the same time.

I loved Jon's attempts to learn Bill Gates's password.
J: "Do you have any pets?" B: "Well, the kids are really trying to get one." J: "Did you have a pet growing up? B: "Oh, yeas, I had a ..." J: "What was your pet's name?"
Hee!

I know; I was dying. I loved that it took a while for Gates to catch on. I laugh my ass of every night watching TDS. His schtick never gets old for me. (Plus, I've had a crush on him since the days of his old MTV show)
I can't believe they missed the opportunity to rag on Fox for the text on the screen during the Obama bit ("Clinton drops madrassa* bomb on Obama," or something to that effect). My mom watches Fox all the time just to see what they'll say next, and then she calls me all irate. Me? I can't stand to watch it, so I'm glad Jon does it for me.
This show needs two things, though: More Lewis Black and more Samantha Bee. I love her "Are You Prepared?" bits.
Hee. I'm nine.
* or is it madrasah? I don't know.

Does anyone else have trouble viewing the clips from the comedy central website? Mine start, but never actually play before going onto the next one.

Did anyone see last night's interview with the astrophysicist? That was just some damn fine entertainment. "We're simple people. Spots on the sun? Sunspots."

Hee, I just watched that on TiVo. That guy was so good-natured and happy - he was so gleeful talking about the awful things that could befall us. I lurve him. "You are *not* simple people!" The Bill Gates error message was quality, too.

When Jon announced that last night's guest would be an astrophysicist I thought to myself, "well, there's one I'm gonna sleep through!" That guy was awesome. He really seemed to enjoy the show and Jon's humor.

Indeed. Mr. BBG was half-listening in the other room and piped up, "There's a man that loves his job."

Neil deGrasse Tyson. I'd seen him before on Nova Science Now, and he's great. I thought that was a wonderful interview, and now I want to read his book.
