Man v. Food was on the Travel Channel, and IIRC, Adam Richman chose to discontinue the series, partially over health concerns. Here's an article about that, if interested: HuffPo.He's done a few other short series, mostly also on Travel. |

Thanks chonies! Topic: I love watching that Bobby Flay's Ireland special. Makes me want to go sightseeing in Dublin and make a whole bunch of pit stops for food!

He looks 10 years younger! He went from middle-aged shlub to cute guy. My son and I loved that show. He would always think that he could eat one of those massive, heart attack burgers, and I always imagined myself with like 5 pounds of ice cream. Of course we never did it. I can't imagine how you have to stretch your stomach to even attempt it.
I see a bunch of baking challenge shows on today - followed by all Guy/all the time. Grr

My new favorite show is the Heartland Table, blows The Pioneer woman out of the water for us. Amy Thielen doesn't exactly cook for those of us on a diet, her food is rich but basically everything she uses is organic and she knows where it is coming from.

When is it on? I irrationally hate the Pioneer woman. Her voice make my teeth ache for some reason.

Ree Drummond does have an annoying voice. She has an older brother who is developmentally disabled. My theory is that she used that voice with him growing up and now it's just habit. The bigger problem with her show is that she's gotten dangerously close to Sandra Lee territory with her dump-and-stir methods.

The reason the Pioneer woman is so popular is that her recipes are easy, alot of them are yes dump and stir and very fattening. I like Diners, Drive Inns and Dives but just can't watch it, his eating/table manners are just disgusting.
