Yeah, I seem to recall hearing about an awards show where his then-wife accepted on his behalf and made some bitter remark about how "Robert" was at home "puking his guts out" because he "didn't know how to deal with success." So, I guess he's been somewhat unstable all along. Not that I necessarily think that means he must be guilty of murder -- but he was weird enough to hook up with that Bonnie creature...

Before Craig Kilborn got the Late, Late, Show. Old interviewing warhorse Tom Snyder had it. Robert was a frequent guest.

Really good interviews, but he had to have the whole show, 'cause there was just too much crazy to cram into a 30 minute segment.

Before the murder, he was talking about writing a book, about his life, especially his horrible childhood.

Blake's prosecuter is calling the jurors Big dum-dums (my wording)

I don't know. The thing I always had problems with was that if Blake himself had pulled the trigger, there should have been blood and gunpowder on his clothes. If there was, and the police failed to collect this evidence, then that makes THEM big dum-dums. The jury can only work with what the prosecution gives them. Doesn't seem right to blame them at this point.

Now those OJ jurors, they were some dummies! ;D

Civil trial found him guilty

Eight months after Robert Blake was acquitted at a criminal trial of murdering his wife, a civil jury decided Friday the tough-guy actor was behind the slaying, and ordered him to pay Bonny Lee Bakley's children $30 million.

The jury deliberated eight days before ruling in a 10-2 vote that the former "Baretta" star "intentionally caused the death" of Bakley, who was gunned down in 2001 in the actor's car outside a restaurant where the couple had just dined.

The plaintiffs had argued that Blake either killed Bakley himself or hired someone to do so.

I doubt they'll have much luck collecting the money.
