Not Guilty?? Whaaaa? My coworkers and I have decided to become famous and move to LA. Because apparently no matter how washed up you are, you can do pretty much anything you want out there. Here's a link to a story on the verdict. He was acquitted of murder and one of the solicitation charges. The jury was deadlocked 11 to 1 on the other solicitation charge. The one being one juror who though he solicited a hit man.

He was found innocent? Oh great, now he can go back to....I don't know, what the hell has he done so far? Even with this shit going on, I know that nobody is releasing the old Baretta series on DVD. Who would want to, it's too fucking weird in this climate.
How exactly did he get off the charges again?

He got found innocent? How? Do you mean he didn't get found guilty, but he didn't get found innocent either. Like his case got dismissed on a technicality, or there was a hung jury, or a mistrial?
Because innocent? :blinks: That's just mind-boggling.
Well I suppose the CTWS will be having their MJ is INNOCENT!!LOL!!111! parties soon and following him around the world on his already planned Celebration tour. Cause if Blake was found innocent? it's true that celebrity means you can get away anything you like.

Cripes, it seems like if your a celebrity you need to be caught standing over the corpse with your pants down and the gun smoking in your hand to be found guilty.

What the fuck? I guess he can now go catch up with O.J. and exchange stories of how they did their wives in and got away with it. Crazy Bastard!
ETA: At least they got Scott Peterson's ass today. That worthless piece of shit has been sentenced to DEATH!!

Not even then! R. Kelly was caught on tape with his pants down, literally. His trial hasn't even started and folks are speculating that his charges will be dropped.

Hee! whitefalcon, if that was a Phil Spectre (misspelling intentional) reference, I think I love you! Will you be my witty pretend boy/girlfriend?
Topic? WTF!?! Not that I ever cared much, but I'm still surprised. I suppose I shouldn't be, though. Perhaps judges and jurys in California get special double-secret instructions that we don't get to know about. Or, they get the regular ones, with a footnote that says, "in case of a celebrity, no matter how minor or washed-up, disregard all foregoing instructions as well as any common-sense you may possess."

I'm a bit surprised they couldn't nail him on the 'conspiracy to commit' murder charge.

eh I can't bring myself to get all worked up about this. Mostly because if he was guilty and got off, I don't really see him as being a danger to society at large again. He'll just do the round of interviews, probably write a stupid book then go away quietly.
Now if MJ gets off? I'll go insane. Because that man clearly is an ongoing threat. To children as well as society at large.
