Another hateration: I hate April on Parks and Recreation. She's a nasty, rude, spoiled, entitled brat, and I can't fathom why everybody loves her so much. I don't hate April, but I can certainly understand how one might feel that way. When I started watching Parks (I forget when--season 3, maybe), Tom Haverford was nearly a flames-on-the-side-of-my-face show-killer for me. Thank god the show has kicked him around and had him grow up a little.

I hate Barney on How I Met Your Mother. I also strongly dislike Robin. I actually stopped watching a couple of seasons ago because Barney just ruined the whole show for me. I started watching it again this season because it is the last one and the whole season takes place at Barney and Robin's wedding. Which is unfortunate because I still like the other characters and think the rest of the show is funny but they make it so painful to watch.

Oddly, I love Barney and Robin (maybe not together, but as individual characters) but I have to admit I'm behind on How I Met Your Mother. I think I've only seen up to the fourth season or so while catching only bits and pieces of later seasons.
But I've always HATED Ted! I hate his mopey, schmoopy ways and his all encompassing need to find the perfect woman to settle down with. Acting all "sensitive" while simultaneously being pretty superficial. And his over the top desperation that would drive most sane women to run far, far away from him after giving him a quick knee to the groin... And this was a guy who hung out with the likes of BARNEY!

I hate the main character on The Glades. I don't even know his name, but he's smug and arrogant. Even the commercials for the show send me into a hate spiral. Hmmm...I like Jim. I really like that show too and am sorry that it has been cancelled. It was a nice breezy way to spend an hour, and I really enjoyed Jim and Callie's relationship. I may download the seasons for winter viewing. Looking at the warm, sunny weather should help with the winter blahs.

I don't really like April either, but she's always much more tolerable on rewatch.
The biggest show killing character for me is Claudia on Warehouse 13. She made that show unwatchable to the point that we just gave up on it.

Susan, Carol's wife on Friends, ALWAYS made my blood boil. She was a condescending bitch and really unpleasant. She always had this bizarre ax to grind with Ross despite the fact that his wife cheated on him and subsequently left him for her. For some reason the actress' face and voice annoyed the shit out of me as well.

UGH, TED! I thought I hated him, but after listening the actor (Josh Radner?) on a podcast, I think it's the actor I dislike more than his character. He sounded so much more pretentious and self-involved than Ted. I still hate Ted though. Bleah. Yup, it's Josh Radnor. I hate him (and Ted) but I get a bit of schadenfreude that he's the most unknown lead actor on television. He's the title character of a long-running sitcom that's in daily reruns but even the show's fans are hard-pressed to name him. Does he just not have a publicist?

I hate Godric from True Blood. Everyone constantly creams over his lame, useless ass. If you want to off yourself, then honey just do it. I was so sick of his dumb ass appearing every single season showing how "magical" his dumb ass was to the point that Eric was praying to his ass this last season. So happy when Lillith finally killed him.

Coffeecakes, I love that you used the word "ass" 4 times in the above post. I got tired of Godric's ass, too.

And the only other movies he's been in are one or two he wrote and produced himself, he is one lucky f***. He had done a smattering of "dead guy on Law and Order" type roles then landed the lead in an almost decade running sitcom. Hope you saved your money, dude. There is nothing to show that you'll be getting work in the future, while your cohorts should be doing just fine. Even the mom is the chick from Pitch Perfect and she definitely has an intriguing look. This is why the description of his pretentiousness on the podcast is so weird. No one knows your name, dude. I don't even remember his name is Ted on the show. I refer to him as that other guy from HIMYM, the one who's not Neil Patrick Harris or the Muppet guy. Even the pretty news girl landed major screen cred with the Avengers movie.
