I "watched" the last episode (by watched I mean, it was on in the background while I folded my laundry and did dishes). Jack was kidnapped and was the missing person. Yep, this show has definitely lost whatever magic it had. This was the first full new episode I watched and other than making me nauseous with Jack pulling his nailed hand off the chair, it just isn't watchable for me. And Jack walking around like pulling his hand off the chair was no big deal was giving the nurse in me an ulcer. Oh and Sam threatening to beat up a guy twice her size - he'd snap her like a twig. Poppy is so freaking skinny, a brisk wind could knock her down. Intelligence in this show has certainly taken a hit lately. PS If I see Viv in one more low cut shirt with no visible chest scar from her heart surgery, I'm going to write a strongly worded letter. Or something like that. I agree! I couldn't make it through this episode either. I wandered off to the computer and barely registered it playing in the background. Jack's screams didn't even make me turn my head. Boring!

Please, please tell me that Maid Marian (aka Anne) is going to start wearing a fake belly if she really loses the baby. Ala Katie Holmes (Cruise) as on the threads here or characters on "Days of Our Lives". She can hide the fact that she miscarried from Jack, who isn't all that bright anyway and hijinks will ensue in her attempts to divert his attention from the fake pregnancy. It's getting pretty soapy anyway so they may as well go for broke.
Poppy's makeup looked horrid tonight. Who did she piss off?
I saw that Enrique Marciano was one of People's sexiest men alive. Very good for him. His hair tonight looked baaaddddd. At least he's really cute so it don't matter that his hair is atrocious.
I enjoyed this episode a little better than last week. The show is horribly soapy now, but I'm slow at dropping shows I loved at one point.

I actually think Poppy does a fine American accent. It's Marianne Jean-Baptiste who drives me nuts. She'll randomly bust out a Noo Yawk accent in the middle of a sentence. Her voice is all over the place. I hear her Brit accent, a generic American and a Noo Yawk accent from her in the same scene most episodes.

But I think all of the actors attempting to do an "American" accent slip all the time now. Poppy, Marianne, and Anthony. It's terribly amusing. They aren't even trying now. Reminds me of the "Friends" episode where Ross is trying to phase out his fake British accent. All three of them should do that - phase out the accents, then have Danny or Martin say, "Hey, what the hell happened to your accent?" Then Anne can lose the flour sack she's pretending is the baby in the middle of a big meeting and wacky hijinks can ensue. Wherein she explains to Jack that the baby needed flour and Jack buys it. Seriously though, when you compare the fake Amerian accents to the perfection that is Hugh Laurie's American accent on "House", they come out horribly short. (I didn't even know Hugh Laurie was British until I saw him on Jay Leno)

Is anyone still watching this? I'm rather new to the show and I couldn't figure out when the new episodes were on but I think it's Sundays? Or maybe Mondays?
I know it was a bit soap-operaish last night what with <<Danny and Elena now>> but man is he one sexy dude. <<That look he gave her before he took her face and kissed her?>> Yowza.
I also really love Anthony LaPaglia, so....yeah. I watch.

In Canada it's on Global on Mondays and CBS on Sundays in the US. That was a weird storyline last night.

The "missing person" stories are getting more and more ridiculous and weird. Ah, well, I'll always have Season 1 DVD's.

In WAT's first and second season, I told everyone I know to watch it - I really thought it was one of the best shows on tv at that time. It was the first show to finally beat ER (and NBC) in the coveted Thursday-at-10 timeslot, after all. I would love to see those eps in reruns (we don't have TNT), so maybe a DVD set someday.
However, once they started on the personal lives of the agents, blah. I don't mind a tidbit here and there that reveals why they are the way they are, but all this marriage breakup, affairs, angst, etc. ruins it for me. I watched the show for the cases, not the personal lives of the characters.
Now, I prefer Cold Case for pure storytelling and interesting characters. And good music.

Mugsy, Bravo (Canadian version) runs WAT three times a day. Admittedly, none of them convenient for most people (2 pm, 12 midnight and 4 am, at least here in the Eastern time zone), but that's what they make recording devices for!
I could live without all the personal life crap, but I still watch - it's not like there's anything else on at the same time up here.

I've seen Cold Case a few times and enjoyed it. I think it might conflict with something else I watch -- when's it on?
Soap opera or no, I love me some LaPaglia so I still watch for my fix. Bonus is that I wasn't a regular viewer in the early seasons so the reruns on Bravo (a convenient 9pm here on the West Coast) have been delightful.
