I can't watch the episode of Fresh Prince where his father comes back...and then leaves again...without bawling like a baby. When Will breaks down in Uncle Phils arms I just about lose it every single time.

Edith Bunker's death gets me every time. That was the first time I ever cried over a tv show I think. Carrol O'Connor crying into Edith's slipper telling her how he should have gone first was one of those great moments in acting. I am in tears just thinking about it. Shoot, I even named one of my dogs Archie after Archie Bunker.

The four hundred and twelve hours I wasted watching Part One of Meteor was mighty sad.

I don't know if you guys ever watched this cheesy show on USA Network back in the day called Silk Stalkings. It was about 2 partner detectives in Miami, a man and a woman. They were best of friends for many years, until one day the girl, Rita, almost got killed and her partner Sam freaked out. He took her home, where they made love and realized they were both head over heels for each other.
They continue secretly dating, because if they were found out to be a couple they would get separated. They even married in secret, when she found out she was pregnant, but due to a case they were working on, they were exposed to be a couple and separated. They lasted like 1 show happy, when Rita gets kidnapped by a drug lord. When Chris went to get her during an exchange, he got shot. He was taken to the hospital, but later died. And let me tell you, I BAWLED. It was very, very sad, especially watching the next episode with Rita trying to cope with his death and ultimately leaving the police force. I still can't watch those episodes without tearing up.

The series finale of Six Feet Under made me cry. Hard. I was going through some personal stuff and that episode just took me way over the top. For a couple of days afterward, I would only have to think about it and I'd tear up.
The episode of Newsradio where everyone is hallucinating due to a broken air conditioner. It's the final scene where Dave and Lisa are seen as a blue-collar married couple. Mr. James is Dave's father, who appears to be suffering with dementia or Alzheimer's. He just sits motionless, holding a snow-globe that looks like the Newsradio office. For some reason that used to make me cry.

Oh, those last few minutes of the Six Feet Under finale just made me sob. (In fact, I was stupid enough to watch the clip again just now and cried some more.)

I vaguely remember the show. I didn't watch show but I know people that did. They were just heartbroken he (though I thought his name was Chris) died. They were PISSED! You mention Silk Stalkings and to this day they go on angry rants about how the show really screwed the characters and the fans over. I gotta say it sounds like the worst. season. finale. ever. I guess the writers thought they were being ballsy (and they were) but from what I've heard the show really struggled after this.
How moving is the final few minutes of the Six Feet Under? I never watched the show and I found myself a little teary eyed by the final few minutes. The acting is wonderful. I've noticed there isn't much dialogue and I think that's appropriate. The song, "Breathe Me", kinda says it all.

The four hundred and twelve hours I wasted watching Part One of Meteor was mighty sad. That is SO sad, b. I read the inarticulate reviews on Hulu because I was considering watching it. Thanks to them I took a pass. Sounds like a smart decision!!
