I thought for sure we had a thread going on this, but apparently not. Here's a horribly unpopular opinion I've been known to hold: The Sopranos, while very entertaining at times, is not the greatest work of art in a century. James Gandolphini's work in it, while competent, isn't that great.

BTVS S6 was one of the best up until Willow's magic crack storyline. Buffy's struggles with adulthood, (i.e. money problems) was far more compelling than the earlier "I don't have a date to the prom" storylines.
S7, OTOH, was crap.
Spike was the best thing on S5 Angel.

I always thought Friends was awful. Really, really bad.

I really like E.R, even more unpopular, I think Abby is one of the more interesting charactors. Oh, and SNL? great show, I watch it and laugh every week.

I think I may be the only person in America (and elsewhere?) to have never watched a single episode of any so-called reality TV. No Survivor, no Amazing Race, no Bachelor/ette, and certainly no American Idol. It just doesn't interest me. If I wanted to watch people lie and stab each other in the back, I'd go back to watching soaps, where they do it better and are more attractive.
Wow, that was cleansing.

Yeah, this thread can leave you with that feeling, BaseballGirl.
Here's one of my newest unpopular opinions: though terrible, Voyager was not the worst series of the Trek franchise--Enterprise is.

This is a really unpopular opinion, but I don't like Arrested Development. I've watched it a couple times, and I just don't get what the big deal is: it's funnier than other sitcoms, and it has a great cast, but in my opinion it's not the piss-yourself-laughing, messiah of comedy that everyone I know seems to think it is. I can't really get into it, and now I only watch when I know Liza Minelli is going to be on.

WHen everyone was raving about Friends and Ally McBeal, I thought they were sexist crap.
I also hate Seinfeld, although I can recognize that the writing on the show was funny, I just mostly hated the actors.

I thought that, from start to finish, Voyager was the best of the Star Trek series. It didn't have the 2.5 first sucky seasons that ST:NG had or the boring plot line of who was Kira's next love interest going to be (and ending up with Odo? The hell?) or that Bajorans!Equal!Jews! pounded into you from start to finish like DS9 did. I won't go so far as to say it was the best ST for stories and such but over all, from beginning to end, season after season, I prefer it to the rest.
I got to start this thread on the Site That Shall Not be Named and I started it with The Sopranos, too. I think that show is glorified violence with too much T&A and swear words because HBO can get away with it. Great minds, eh, Smilla?

::small voice:: I have this non-feeling towards The Simpsons. If it never existed, the only thing I'd miss is being able to say "stupid, sexy...". And the only way I know that is through ye olde syte.
