I just couldn't get into Lost, but I like Parks and Recreation.

This is a vague, generic tv complaint. It bothers me when cars appear in 'period' tv shows, and the cars are perfectly waxed and glossy, to the point where rain beads perfectly on the surface. This happens a lot, but I noticed it recurring in Call the Midwife. I know preserving a car is a labor of love, but for pete's sake--at the car and at me.

I have a similar complaint about period shows but regarding horses. You can have this epic story, spanning generations, but the horse that appears in the first episode as someone's mount will reappear throughout the series as a carriage horse, a cab horse or someone else's riding horse. This horse will flit in and out of the series until the final episode which takes place 50 years from the start, but hey, that same nag is still out there working. I realise budget constraints don't allow a series to switch horses or use more than the same three, but it still brings me out of the story.

I imagine most people don't see beyond "brown horse". Only a horse person would notice that it's the same steed playing multiple roles.
People's teeth in period pieces are ridiculously white and perfect, but I'd rather look at a dental anachronism then a mouth full of "baked bean teeth".

I think that's hilarious, kanding. I wouldn't have noticed, but I feel your pain.

Here's the cancel/renew list from tvbythenumbers: LINKThe shows I watched that are on the cancel list are Trophy Wife, Suburgatory, and Believe. Suburgatory's last season was weak. It was like the writer's didn't know what to do with these awesome characters they created anymore and just phoned it in. So, no big loss. I really liked Trophy Wife. It was a funny and positive representation of step-families, and the acting was good. The only thing that bugged me was the Meg character. I don't understand why it didn't catch on, especially with The Goldbergs being the lead in. Believe was hokey, but I still liked it anyway. This one I can understand being cancelled, though. The episodes were repetitive and there was nowhere for the story to go.

I'm really bummed about Trophy Wife. It was consistently funny and I loved how female heavy it was and how funny the women characters were. I wish that they'd given it a better shot. Suburgatory flamed out pretty quickly. This season was completely lame.

I thought Trophy Wife would have been the perfect companion to air right after Modern Family. Both are sitcoms about um, modern families, filled with upper middle class people with fabulous upper middle class lives. And they have a similar style of humour.

Yeah Trophy Wife would have been perfect with Modern Family. Instead they paired MF with Mixology and Super Fun Night which were both giant turds from day one. I think maybe the title Trophy Wife was a bit of a turn off too. ABC has a thing with awful titles that are supposed to be ironic but just come off as kind of insulting to their main characters-Cougar Town, Don't Trust the Bitch in Apt. 23. It never works out even though the shows were actually good.
Suburgatory was definitely hit and miss this season but it still had its moments. I loved Lisa and Malik's wedding even though the idea of two teenagers getting married is idiotic. The thing that ticks me off about its cancellation was that it actually did well in the ratings. Especially in the desired demo 18-49. It didn't matter how much ABC moved it around or how often it bumped it, it was always consistent. But the president of ABC didn't like the show so he axed it. Even though it got better ratings then The Goldbergs and Nashville which were both renewed.
