My "I have no interest in these, so don't tell me how I should watch because they're awesome" list: Game of Thrones Mr. Robot Outlander Ha, those are exactly the shows I love ;-) plus Downton Abbey, but even I realize that this one wasn't all that great :-D

I LOVE Downton Abbey but I hate Outlander and GoT and Peaky Blinders, etc. They're just really different shows to me.

My "huge and/or impactful hits I never really gave a fuck about" list is still topped by Sex and the City, Lost and Freaks and Geeks. (Admitting that last one really chaps a lot of geek hide in my neck of the woods, so I rarely even whisper about it.) Just. not. interesting. I hated sex and the city. my girlfriends had watching parties and I liked hanging out with them so I would always go. Carrie was dreadful.

I think Freaks and Geeks was interesting enough but I didn't watch it until 2013 because I was so, SO tired of everyone talking about it back when it first aired. It wasn't life changing, except I didn't think I could be so enraged by a TV character's choice about how to spend her summer.

We have just now started watching Friday Night Lights. Today, indeed we did Netflix and chill.
I love it so far! It's so good. I can tell it is from the same guy as Parenthood. I love quiet dramas like FNL and Phood.

Well....I'm absolutely done with The Walking Dead, but I enjoy Fear the Walking Dead. Yep.

We have just now started watching Friday Night Lights. Today, indeed we did Netflix and chill. I love it so far! It's so good. I can tell it is from the same guy as Parenthood. I love quiet dramas like FNL and Phood. I loved FNL when it first came out, the snot and tears I produced in that first episode is unbelievable! I told everyone how great that show is, and when they watched it, they all told me it's boring. I think it hurt the show that it couldnt find the correct day and time slot. it was apparently confusing to people to watch a show called "Friday night lights" on a day that wasn't Friday. When NBC did move it to Fridays, ratings weren't there because the target audience was usually out watching high school football on Friday nights. FNL was absolutely one of my favorite shows. I appreciated how much was done to keep that show going for as long as it did. This show is why I can't complete hate on NBC for producing awful shows. For a large network, like them, to strike a partnership with DirecTV so that this show can continue, I admire that. And because of that partnership, the show continued on for three more seasons, it kept my TV husband (Coach Taylor) on my TV that much longer.

I....kind of don't hate Iron Fist. Ahem.
And while I'm at it: I like This is us, but it's not as groundbreaking as everybody makes it out to be IMHO. 10-12 years ago this would have been a pretty standard family drama. But I'm happy for Milo, Mandy and Sterling (who does deserve all the awards in the world).

I think the fact that one of the characters is a plus size woman with a genuine romantic life (including sex) is notable and groundbreaking in a way, but I agree it's a pretty standard family drama. It reminds me of Brothers and Sisters, several years ago on ABC.
I also think Randall's story would not have been done 10 years ago. There is a three dimensional black family on this show and I think they tackle interracial adoption honestly.

Fear the Walking Dead is just as boring for me as the three episodes of The Walking Dead I tortured myself with. Yes, I find these dramas boring. Detestably so. Come on, AMC, get back to addictive television, please.
