I agree, loved TWD for the first couple of seasons but now just can't be bothered, and Fear the Walking dead is just beyond boring a shit despite the first few episodes showing promise.

I have so many unpopular TV opinions, people look at me strange :-(
Glad to see I'm not the only one who's not about that Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Homeland life. In my defense, with the latter two, I tried. I genuinely wanted to enjoy Breaking Bad because everyone and their mother's cat was raving about it. I tried a few times actually. I think I made it to the third or fourth episode and just could not. It was slow, laborious, and not as clever as I thought it would be.
Homeland... same-ish story. The first few episodes were almost there for me, but nah, just did not take.
One of the ones that did live up to the hype for me was The Wire. I can't rave enough about that show. Worth all the hype. See too: Friday Night Lights.
Other UOs: I like reality shows like KUWTK and Love and Hip Hop for escapism. No shame in my game. It's light fare, frequently entertaining in a junk food kind of way and with L&HH in particular, I enjoy the WTFery.
I enjoy most sitcoms, New Girl, Friends, Will & Grace, Modern Family, Big Bang Theory which I still adore all these seasons later.
How I Met Your Mother though: completely overrated and Neil Patrick Harris was annoying as hell.
Never got into Sex and the City and I thought their fashion was ugly.
Loved the Lost finale. There was no other way they could end it and I shipped Jack and Kate till the end!

I never understood why Carrie was considered the fashion plate of the show, I liked what the other girls wore. Carrie did put together a few nice outfits though, she looked her best when she wore just simple sleek clothing.

I never understood the over-identification with specific characters in SATC. "I'm a Carrie!" "I'm a Charlotte!" If you really want to get deep, to me they were each supposed to be facets of one woman.

I had a friend who LOVES Carrie and completely identifies with her, and I have agree. Like Carrie, she views her love with her hubs is the greatest, most passionate, most fulfilling, most complex, most intense love the world has ever known. Other people may have great relationships, but her relationship is SPECIAL and more difficult, complicated, and rewarding than other peoples'. She is a lot like Carrie (many of her good qualities, but also some of her WORST) and her relationship is full of (self-made) drama, but it's not the positive comparison she thinks it is! Life is a TV show starring HER! "Sex in the 'Burbs"

I hate a lot of what Sex and the City chose to be, but for me what held up best were some of the eccentric or non-romantic storylines... I think it was kind of unique that it was a show explicitly focused on female sexuality that was actually comedic and at times totally divorced from titillation. Of course there was titillation sometimes, but then you had stuff like Miranda hooking up with the fast food mascot or freaking out about rimming. It seems like the show was a lot more willing to go weird in the early seasons, and it suffered as it "grew up" and got everybody into conventional relationships.
I thought everybody hated Carrie but I guess not! Maybe it was just me and my friends.

I had a love/hate relationship with SATC, but the story I hated most was when Carrie got all pissed that Charlotte didn't offer to give her the money to buy her apartment. It was so entitled and galling.

It was so entitled and galling. What's funny is up until that episode I didn't care for Charlotte at all, but her speech to Carrie saying she wasn't going to bail her out made me totally turn around on her. I haven't seen the episode in a long time so I'm not sure how intentional that was on the show's part, but yeah, it was definitely not a great turn for Carrie's character.

I think The Crown is pretty bad. The acting is great, but I think the writing is way too expository, the amount of time spent on Churchill in the first season was infuriating, Matt Smith is actively difficult for me to look at, and it's just plain BORING--the fog episode in particular might be one of the worst episodes of a TV show I've ever watched.
I had kind of forgotten how strongly I felt about it, but all the excitement I have seen about the second season reminded me! There are plenty of TV shows I don't like, but this is one of the rare ones where I also don't understand what other people DO like about it.
