Well, I certainly wasn't a teenager in 1998. I don't think I was watching on the regular in the late 90s. I must have seen the clips later and thought they were from longer ago. Was the late 90s when Brenda was involved in the music business? I remember loving that era. The 90s as a whole are a blur for me (long soap-opera worthy story!).

I just checked and Rena Sofer (aka Lois) left in 1997, and I think the music business mostly went with her. Sidenote: I went to a Wally Kurth (Ned) concert that same year and she was there and super bitchy and proprietary about him when he was signing autographs and taking pics with fans (she declared "no pics!"). I wasn't surprised when they divorced less than a year later.

Apparently Lucky is coming back for a bit this summer to see Luke off. I found it interesting in the promos that they focused on Luke's original family-- Laura and Lucky -- and not Tracy and Ethan.

Who is it that are forcing Luke and Laura to be a couple? They've kind of burned through all of the throwback bad guys, haven't they?

I was simultaneously trying not to vomit and laughing my head off at the 'Jennifer Smith wants to sleep with that relic, Luke' storyline. Seriously. Was ANYONE buying that? Luke was fugly when he was young, and now he's a fossil and fugly. Bitch, please. I'm starting to wonder if Fluke orchestrated Lucky and Ethan's kidnapping...well for a hot minute, and then I remember that I really don't care. Go away, Geary.
I'm missing Julexis and hating Sonny more and more a.k.a. just another day for me as a GH viewer!

Haven't watched in a while and tuned in today to find out Jake is alive. Why? Because Helena faked his death. Why did she fake his death and how did she do it? Looks like writers will have to get back to us on that. This fucking show.

Looks like writers will have to get back to us on that. This fucking show. Ridiculously dumb. They're basically just hand-waving all the particulars and we're stuck with "Helena took him." Whose kidney to Joss actually get? When did the switch happen? Writer says "why are you asking me these stupid questions? Shoo!" I will say I enjoyed the Jakeson/Monica scenes. It would actually be interesting if, when his memory returns, he has Jason Quartermaine memories, too, and is conflicted about Jason Morgan's morals/allegiance to Sonny. I'd also like a unicorn and for chocolate cake to be a diet food.

Clearly someone like Helena would have easy access to black market organs. She'd just head down to the dungeon and open up the fridge labeled "children" and grab one of the many, many little kidneys at her disposal. I don't suppose we could get an international black market organ storyline. C'mon writers. It would be easy. Just watched Turistas and take notes.

That would be such a great story, but I'd also like a unicorn and for chocolate cake to be a diet food. I think you have a better shot at this happening.

Tony Geary's exit interview with TV Guide is interesting. Either he knows he will never make a return to the show or he knows Ron is out a head writer in a few months. Either way, this interview truly hows his personality. He is an unpleasant, bitter, old man. Filled with hate for the show and pairing that made him a household name when he was already in his mid-30s. He seems to have it in his head that Luke and Laura ruined his life instead of appreciating that it bought him his house in Amsterdam. Without GH, he never would have met Elizabeth Taylor, much less been allowed in her home. Genie Francis is as sweet, beautiful (inside & out), and gracious as he is hateful and ugly.
