I loved the first Carly too. What I really liked is that Carly was someone who originally came from a trashy and poor upbringing. She grew up with no social graces or education and Sarah Brown was really able to bring that out. It was refeshing how she was not stick thin or Barbie doll pretty. SB had kind of a rough look to her voice and demeaner and no matter how fancy she tried to dress and act she still looked like she came from trash.

She also managed to bring out Carly's vulnerability. Even when Carly was doing something horrible you could sense her pain and desperation. You knew that she knew she was hurting herself just as much as the other person. I don't know if it was the actress or the writing at the time but it worked.

I used to watch it regularly but can't get into it anymore. But I did check it out to see the new Carly. Everyone said she was fug, but you know how fans are, a change is always bad. But this Carly is SERIOUSLY ugly. I wish they'd go for a different look all together rather than trying to findm someone who looks slightly like the charecter they replace.

How does Courtney know the baby is Jax's? I thought she had to wait several months to take a paternity test.

Nope, she had the tests done and the baby was revealed to be Jax's, much to her disappointment.

Thanks a bunch! (Still stupid soap crap, though--I'm pretty sure you have to be at least 4 months along before you can get even a sonogram. But what do I expect, it's a soap--reality doesn't even bother knocking on the door.)

When it comes to GH and reality they avoid each other like the plague.

For those of you that watched GH in the mid 90s, Original Recipe Lucky Spencer, Jonathan Jackson, is making a movie with Judy Davis. The film is called A Little Thing Called Murder and JJ and Judy play the real life mother and son cons Santee and Kenny Kimes.
I LOVE Judy Davis. She's one of my favorite actresses ever. And of course I adored Jonathan on GH. I hope this helps his career. I don't think he's had the type of post GH success that his talent warrants. Anyway, here's hoping the film is a success.

My one and only brush with fame was with Jonathan Jackson. His cousin married a friend of my family's, so we were at the wedding together. This was probably a few months to a year after he left GH. He seemed like a nice, normal guy--but much shorter than I'd realized. We said hello as we passed each other in the garden, but I didn't talk to him because I didn't want to seem like a weird fan stalking him at his cousin's wedding.

Okay, am I the only cheesy one getting all fangirly over Dr. Noah Drake, AKA Rick Springfield's sprint on GH? I hardly ever watch it anymore, but I have been DVRing it for his scenes. The fact that they are with vets makes it even better. What's even worse is that I've been listening to Rick's greatest hits on my ipod all week. Whee!
