Don't worry Sbeet I am too, my aunt used to watch GH when babysitting me as a kid and she loved and still does love Rick Springfield. First song I learned on the guitar was Jessie's Girl. Plus I was an angsty teen at the height of Robin/Stone so I also am fangirling out for Kimberly McCalluagh as well. Add that to the restarting of the Carrie, Austin, Lucas, Sami Quadriangle on Days and I am a happy monkey. As Stephen Cobert said, "I like my stories."

I'd forgotten how much I [heart] Rick Springfield! It's great seeing him again, although I mistrust the current writing/producing regime and am wondering what they'll do to destroy the character (I'm sure it'll involve Sonny ). Hopefully he'll get to make out with Bobbie for old times sake.
Is it just me or does he seem slightly more melodramatic than anyone else in his scenes. Maybe RS has yet to realize that these people phone it in and go home because the show is shit now.

Mrs. OldManBalls, he does seem to be chewing some serious scenery, doesn't he? Oh well. It's still kind of fun to watch.
I kind of like Laura Wright as Carly. She emotes better than the other 2 or 3 (I don't watch enough to know how many there have been since Sarah Brown).
I did catch her reinactment of the Most Famous-est Codependent Scenes Evah, and I liked her better in them than the others as well. At least she can freaking act.

She is pretty good - when she was discussing things with Jason yesterday she was that perfect desperate, crazed, wild Carly.
I'm personally liking the Dr. Drake and Patrick thing - but I wonder if they'll ever get along?

After not watching GH for 10 years I was surprised to see a lot of the same actors when I tuned in again a few weeks ago. I was more surprised that Sonny and Carly were still were still the main characters with the rest of the world revolving around them.
I can't stand MB's acting style of halting conversation and blank stares. Was he always like that or is he just getting lazy? because I remember liking back in the day. That style seems to be contagious since Jason and Sam seem to speak the same way with each other. They are so boring together.
Can someone explain to me why Jason is such a great guy. He kills people right? I don't get it.
The teens are just ridiculous. I can't follow any of what is going on with them and really don't want to, and I'm really confused about whose related to who and their history together.
Anytime there's a scene in the hospital you know it's going to be ridiculous and make no sense. How did Dr. Drake just walk in the hospital and perform brain surgery without question. How did a guy with tattoos all over him walk around without being noticed just because he wore surgeon clothing and a mask. I know soaps are supposed to be kinda silly when it comes to things like that, but that kind of stuff is just stupid.
I wish they would get away from the "nice guy" mob stuff and try something else. That whole storyline involves too many characters and hogs up almost the entire hour.

You have no idea how much I want your wish to come true. I'm still holding out hope that the Sopranos writers get wind of the shitty "homage" GH is doing and rip them a new one, either in the press or a television writers cage match.

Thank you. I have been over Sonny since before Brenda got wise and finally stopped moping over him. Jason is also irritating as hell. I can't believe this mob crap is going on...what? 10 years later? It's like Passions, what with the lack of moving forward.
I used to be a regular viewer (back in the Robert/Anna/Duke days, then again in the mid-late 90s), but couldn't stand watching "Sonny and Jason: Poor, Misunderstood Mobsters" anymore. Caught a couple episodes over the Christmas holiday and was interested in the Robin/Patrick scenes, as well as the always-awesome Alexis. I've been taping the show this week, but end up FFing through all of the mob crap, which = most of the show.
And now Emily is into Sonny? Blech. Barf. Thank God Amber Tamblyn left long ago.

What I don't get is that other soap actors always say MB is such an awesome actor, blah blah blah (What? I sometimes DVR Soap Talk for the fashion tips. Yes, really. Stop looking at me like that.)

Apparently Kari Wurer, ex - Reese Marshall, is suing ABC for firing her when she was pregnant. I would LOVE it ABC ended up firing the worthless, misogynistic bastards in charge of General Hospital since it morphed into Mob Hospital: Brian Frons, Jill Farren Phelps, Robert Guza and Charles Pratt.
I HATED Reese. She was a worthless slutty mob apologist. But I'm totally in Kari's corner here.

I can't imagine she would have much of a case, and this will more than likely be settled out of court quickly. Wouldn't she have to prove that she was a good actress playing a significant character within a fluid storyline?
All the female characters on GH are considered expendable.
