*Snerk*
Judging from things I've read KW really didn't "get" daytime television or it's office politics. However I hope she does some damage beyond ruffling the feathers of ABC Daytime's head honchos. (I don't want to start on a rant here, but this show and it's misogyny is a bit much. Not to mention MB: approx 6 of his last pairings with his leading ladies have failed causing the women to be backburnered, sent to SL hell and/or fired. Do they really expect us to believe that the women are solely at fault? Every single time?) I hated Reese (and the shit writing for her) but I hope that KW is successful in her lawsuit. Will Leslie Kay be called to testify? Her version of Lois all but disappeared once the actress announced her pregnancy.

I can't imagine she would have much of a case, and this will more than likely be settled out of court quickly. Wouldn't she have to prove that she was a good actress playing a significant character within a fluid storyline? All she has to do is show how much air time she received in relation to the rest of the cast, and pull out all the quotes from Guza and Pratt where they said she's so wonderful and sexy and talented and brought excitement to the show. It's the same sort of smoke they blow at everyone, but they have kept plenty of other actors who didn't work out as first, for much longer periods of time. Supposedly, she's also going to be using Soaps In Depth polls to prove her popularity with viewers, which is a joke, but if they are exposed in court for being rigged, it will be the most hilarious thing ever. Fans thought she had sucked for several months, but it won't help TPTB that they only seemed to figure it out two weeks after she told them she was pregnant. If they were lying to her the whole time and knew the character was hated, if nothing else it was bad business practices on their part. When KW's pregnancy was announced, I remember people saying, "Oh, great, now we're stuck with her; they'd never risk the lawsuit!"on the fan boards. KW stunk, but I can see pregnancy being a factor with this network and these PTB. I saw the lawsuit story at CNN and immediately went to SoapZone, which has naturally gone crazy over this, more than usual. Several lawyers post there, so it's interesting to hear their thoughts on the case. Lesli Kay is mentioned in KW's court papers. She really needs to call Laura Koffman, Cassie on OLTL, who was told not to come back from her maternity leave during JFP's reign there. The network might want to think twice about trotting Becky Herbst and Robin Christopher out as examples of actresses whose pregnancies were accommodated, because I think both suffered in terms of air time and quality of storylines, and not by their choosing. Most likely KW is in it for the money and will quickly settle, even if she has something of a case. I hope it costs TPTB their jobs and not just veteran cast members (they'll need to get the settlement money from somewhere, right?).

I watch this show about once every two weeks, and I swear, everytime I tune in the same shit is happening.
Sonny is halfway in trouble for something and some girl at least ten years younger than him (and it's a new girl everytime) is screaming about how she loves him and how no one else understands him like she does and how sweet he is and what a wonderful father he is. And somehow Jason is involved but I can never actually figure out how, mostly because he never changes his facial expression, nor does Sonny. (note: I'm using run-on sentences for effect.)
Then some lady Sonny used to be with until she reached 30 and then became too old is fighting with Sonny's new girl at a posh restaurant which usually results in the wait staff being yelled at for no reason. Both claim the other one doesn't really know the tender, enigmatic, wondrous Sonny. Poor, poor Sonny.
And there's usually some kid somehow involved, and Jason and Sonny are nice to it, therefore negating any and all criminal actions they've ever committed. Because they love their chillun'! Deep down, they're just two cute little puppy dogs and if you do not see this it is you with the problem. How dare you be so short-sighted!
I fucking hate this show. I wish all of Sonny's ex lovers would unite and form a mob and finally just take out the Corinthos Mob. And I remember once on "The View", the guy who plays Sonny (Maurice Bernard?) said he's bi-polar and talked with guest host Rosie O'Donnell about how experiencing that depression puts you in touch with such deep emotions and makes you such a great artist. Oh yeah, those two really know. Rosie and her brilliant poetry and Maurice and his soulful blank stares.
The next post I make will be nice, I promise.

I used to like Maurice's acting, but now, even on the rare occasions when he doesn't phone it in, it's just a bad Pacino impersonation. How can they try to put Sonny with Emily? He gave her the sex talk back when she was like 16 and going out with VHJuan. At least Amber Tamblyn got out years ago, or else this storyline would be really gross (more than it already is).

you could probably safely reduce your viewing to once a month and still it would be the same SL over and over with different woman, although I predict he'll have to help the next one with her homework.

I can't watch anymore. I read the updates on TVGuideOnline. I find watching the stories unfold in realtime is too much to bear. A one paragraph snippet captures all the emotions that I'd see on the screen (that is to say, not much).

Emily actually said on yesterday's show that everyone was worried about her, but no one cared about poor Sonny. She also said that he's even polite when he makes threats. I had to laugh out loud at that one.
I really hope that some preteen girls aren't watching this and buying into this shit and believes it's sweet when your bf is polite when he threatens people and as long as he's nice and polite to you it doesn't matter who he hurts or how.
The only storyline involving Sonny I'd be interested in is one where he is an abuser who eventually beats up Emily, and she finally recognizes that she is involved in domestic violence and seeks help. It would be good to show a DV relationship from the idealistic beginning to the ugly end. That would make some sense with the characters and be a much better message for any young girls watching.

I would LOVE it ABC ended up firing the worthless, misogynistic bastards in charge of General Hospital since it morphed into Mob Hospital: Brian Frons, Jill Farren Phelps, Robert Guza and Charles Pratt. Why is Jill Farren Phelps still working? How many shows has she ruined? I will never forgive her for single-handedly destroying Another World. I've already gotten bored with GH again and stopped taping it. I'll keep up via recaps and tape if it sounds like anything is actually going to happen (unlikely). Emily actually said on yesterday's show that everyone was worried about her, but no one cared about poor Sonny. She also said that he's even polite when he makes threats. I had to laugh out loud at that one. Seriously. The writers need to be stopped. ASININE.

Don't know if you've heard or not, but Robert Scorpio is coming back for a six week stint.

Thanks, MrsOldManBalls--I did hear about that. Looks like I'm going to get sucked back into this crapfest for another six weeks. When does his run start?
Of course, I'm sure Robert will somehow get sucked into the friggin' mob storyline, too. Stupid show.
