Wang Chung sounded really good and their cover was so cute.

I agree with you all, Wang Chung was the best. And they rocked "It's Getting Hot in Here", how awesome was it to watch older British guys rap like that?
But Irene Cara? C'mon, her voice is gone and she had to bring up the two young chicks to perform because without them she looked like a soccor mom. And she wasn't the only one, I wanted to hand the keys of my Windstar right to Sophie Hawkins.
I actually derived great enjoyment from this show, especially since it's an opportunity to have a "where are they now" moment with pop idols I used to lust over.
Emphasis on the "used to".... When did Howard Jones turn into Paul Williams? Or was it Phil Collins standing on his knees?

Where is the host from? He is soooooo bad. He was also the host for the British version of the show. They probably couldn't find anyone to host the show here.

They probably couldn't find anyone to host the show here. Our standards aren't that high. For God's sake Ryan Seacrest has a star on the walk of fame already.

He probably paid for it himself.
Who's on this week?

I wonder if the shuffling of the artists appearing isn't due to the better than expected ratings? Maybe they were turned down flat by someone only to have them come groveling back.
Thursday nights lineup at the moment is:
Greg Kihn "The Breakup Song" (Boulevard of Broken Dreams-Green Day)
Billy Vera "At This Moment" (No new song listed)
Club Nouveau "Lean on Me" (No new song listed)
Glass Tiger "Don't Forget Me..." (Everything You Want-Vertical Horizon)
Thelma Houston "Don't Leave Me This Way" (No new song listed)

I'm surprised you didn't mention any thing about those big humugous teeth of his. I keep thinking Austin Powers. Humungous and really, really white. They bother me to no end. I've been displeased with the "winner" two weeks in a row. I wanted Wang Chung to win last week, and Tommy Tutone the week before, but only because my name is Jenny.

Glass Tiger! Yay!
Vernon Kay may be the tallest person I've ever seen. I really want to see him and Ryan Seacrest side by side. I like to think that if Vernon's teeth weren't so white they wouldn't look so big. But damned if I didn't have a crush on him when I was 14. That part of me loves that he's on American television, even though he was a total fucktard on Popworld.

I like Vernon. I don't know why. He sucks as a host; he has zero charisma, but dammit if I don't grin when he starts talking. I think it's the voice.

Thelma Houston's rendition of "Fallin'" only makes me more disappointed in my Alicia Keys cd.
