The problem I am running into is that the people who played the characters in the store are not credited for anything else. The problem I am running into is that I thought Tony's dad died of cancer, not being shot in a meat store in front of Janice? From Wiki: Johnny Boy also kept a mistress named Fran Felstein with whom he remained until his death in 1986 of emphysema. So that specualtion I posted is BS.

If Wikipedia is right than the "observer over at HBO" is incorrect . David Chase got what he wanted , alot of chatter and water cooler talk for the few next days/weeks about this episode ! It wil be debated for along time . ( The jokes on us , the viewer ? )

....The thing where Phil is runover - IRONIC - Damn , it's like the thing where Chrissie gets into the car accident but it's Tony that inevitably kills Chrissie, like a double blow..... Yeah, that was a hoot. After Tony kills Christuphuh in the car with the child seat in the back seat, and Tony spends the episode whining about how Christuphuh could have harmed his child the way the Tony harmed his "nephew/child". Then Phil gets it (Hah, in all the many ways that Mr. Chase can give it to him) with a car with two child seats with two childs in the back seat in them. Phil's grandkids helped whack their granddad---what a story they'll have to tell about the sins of the father and grandfathers when they grow up. Just a great laugh all around. This episode was played for laughs. Mr. Chase is a bitter and evil but funny old man---kind of like Livia at her best.

Dragonflyeight - Oh yea, I can't help that . They shot four months/four episodes worth of film in that can for ONE ending. Chase picked and chose what he want to show and edited the episode that way FRANTIC and ERADIC. They knew most would end up on the cutting room floor because he was only doing a 61 min epi. The ending that they cut from this particular alternative epi was that after the screen goes to black , they show Melfi sitting at her desk that next day , having coffe and reading the paper. The headline says " Mafia Crime Boss Soprano and Family Slain at Restaturant ". So why did David Chase decide to leave that out ?? I guess he didn't want to wrap the series up in a tight little bow . Don't shoot the messenger , if you go back and start at my original spoilers for the last two episodes ( starting at page 38,41, ) , you'll see that most of the episode is there . My guess is that he wants to make even more cash off the inveitable movies and sequels, and to be a massive prick towards his devoted audience. May I ask how you know that there was a scene with Melfi reading the paper with that headline?

The problem I am running into is that the people who played the characters in the store are not credited for anything else. William Severs (Old Man in Diner) Henry O'Neill (Young Man in Diner) Paolo Colandrea (Man in Members Only Jacket) Jimmy Spadola (Man in Diner Du Kelly (African American Man #1 in Diner), Sharrieff Pugh (African American Man #2 in Diner), Patrick Joseph Connolly (Truck Driver in Diner), Patti Karr (Old Woman in Diner), Thanks, bloo. I guess I didn't really miss anything. Well, except a satisfying ending to a show I once had some respect for.

Four endings to finale were shot, right? Will David Chase put them on DVD? I know there were different endings to Sex & the City, did they put them on DVD? The show left me empty. I know Daivid Chase was not going to give us a nice pretty ending but I want more. I really thought Sivilo was going to die.

Dragonflyeight - YGM !
Atleast it didn't end with Tony waking up and rolling over to Susan Pleshette saying to him "Good Morning Sunshine" Or Tony walking out of the shower to see Victoria Principal hand him a towel . LOL !
