Thanks for answering my questions everyone! Angie looks great, which is probably why I didn't recognize her. I can't believe the depth of talent on this show. This random mobster #3 pulls out this amazing emotional performance, then he's gone.
Interesting debate about Paulie -- on the one hand he is only out for himself, but there really isn't anything the Feds could offer him because he enjoys the life too much. He's a mobster through and through.

I always assumed they were at the wakes for these various people, not their funerals. For Catholics, the wake is held at a funeral home, and is where everyone can get together, talk, pay respects (more conducive to dialogue for a show), and the Catholic funeral is held at a church and is more or less just a church service.
Also, they used to not give ppl who committed suicide a Catholic funeral/burial, but this is no longer the case, as far as I know.

This sunday's episode was the first time that i've actually sat down and watched an entire episode of this show, and I have to say I liked it...except for one thing: Tony's breathing! Good lord, I was sitting there wishing he wouldn't pop up again so that I wouldn't have to hear his wheezing. Has he always done that and I never noticed until now?
Also, what did Uncle Junior say before he shot Tony? I couldn't make it out.

I've been wondering about Eugene's sudden inheritance. 2mil left by his aunt, so he says. He and the wife were looking at houses in Florida. Tony (via Sil) says "no go" on Florida. Then Eugene is with the feds who tell him 'no go' on Florida too. Was there really an inheritance? Or was this move to florida going to be a fed related move?

Uncle Junior was making a reference to the "Pussy" whateverhisnamewas that he mentioned earlier in the episode. Sounded like an old time mobster from Junior's younger days (it wasn't Pussy B., Angie's ex).
Good point about Eugene, I think it probably was a FBI inheritance after all.
ETA: Tony's breathing! NO SHIT! Annoying as all get out. My friend thinks it is because they are trying to highlight his weight, but it was like this on previous seasons.

I do remember in the beginning, during the Burroughs recitation, seeing Eugene open a letter while sitting at a table, stand up excitedly and hug his wife. I wondered what that was about right before we heard about the inheritance.

I think it was an inheritance - in the opening sequence, Eugene and his wife (OT: Lorraine Bracco's real-life sister played the wife, non?) were shown opening a FedEx letter and then were shocked for a moment and started crying and celebrating. That was the letter informing them of the inheritence, I think.

I doubt that they'll publicly admit that it was a suicide. I know Catholic families, having grown up in one.
Over at TWOP they're theorizing that this past ep was really the "finale," and the rest of the season will be one big flashback to the two years that have elapsed. I really, really hope not, because that would suck.

I think the TWOPers are wrong there. IRCC, they've always advanced each season to coincide with the amount of time that has gone by since the last season (otherwise, they'd have some big explaining to do with the aging of AJ and Meadow). And this is still the last season, right? So if the premiere were the "finale", then we'd be left with Tony on the floor, having no idea what happened to him. HBO does a better job of wrapping up all lose ends than that. They want to make sure there's no room for someone else to make money off a wrap up movie.
