Considering the history of Russia's rulers, you'd probably have as much claim as any one else.

I've just read this book: Sex with the Queen and found it really amusing. Has anybody else read it and want to talk about it? And can anyone comment about the other book from the same author, Sex with Kings? I'm thinking of buying it, but the Amazon reviews aren't that good...

I'd vote for checking it out from the library- it's not that bad but it is kind of fluffy. I read both of them and found them entertaining but not something I'd buy.

tennisfan, I've read Sex with Kings, and I enjoyed it. But I agree that checking it out from the library is a good idea.

I enjoyed Sex with the Queen (bought it mainly because the author was signing copies at a Ren Faire). Entertaining, kind of like reading a tabloid.

Auroranorth and Ripley, thanks for the comments, but our libraries don't have fluffy history written in English (I'm from Argentina), so my only option is to buy it (preferably cheap). I guess I'll get it next time I buy something from Amazon, so I don't have to pay extra for the shipping. prydainprincess, I enjoyed it too, that's why I've asked about the other one.

I read that (before the link expired), and it does sound like the remains of the two bodies found are likely Alexei and Marie/Anastasia (depending on which forensic specialist one believes). I wonder how long the DNA comparisons will take.

It'll be nice to finally get that established. All of the possible pretenders are dead now, I think.

It'll be nice to finally get that established. All of the possible pretenders are dead now, I think. Not quite-IIRC, there's this one nutbag who claims to be the grandson of Nicholas II by a secret daughter who was born between Anastasia and Alexei-who was smuggled out of the palace because a fifth daughter and no son would have really looked bad-no heir. Or something like that. It's really weird. I don't know if I could find it-it's hysterical.
