I tried to watch one episode when they were having someone on I liked and I wanted to go play in traffic right afterwards to cleanse my soul or something.

Thanks, Swanflake, for starting this thread - while there is ALWAYS plenty to snark on about zilla, we need a more general forum for View "stuff"....

I thought that the dessert segment today with Elizabeth & the kids was especially lame - she was not connected to the kids at all, and they were looking at her like "who's this crazy lady throwing ice cream balls into the audience?".

I made the mistake of watching last Friday. Sweet Zombie Jesus, I wanted to beat the hell out of Elisabeth just for being an idiot in general. She went on some crazy diatribe about kids getting jobs and being responsible that made no sense to me.

One of these days, I want Joy to go completely nuts and take the rest of them out. She's the only one that I can take for more than 5 minutes.

Personally I find Joy to be very self-serving. Not that the rest aren't. Talk about someone constantly staring at themselves in the monitor. She always tries to have the last word. I don't find her humor funny at all. In fact, generally when she makes a joke I just cringe. She's good for calling Star on a lot of things she says but other than that I find her boring. In fact, the only reason I still watch the show is so I have something to bring to this website. They are all fast becoming has beens.

I hate it when they bring guest just so they can degrade them. They did it to the lady who wrote Smashed, the call girl and the lady who wrote the book about Diana. If they are going to attack them then atleast let the guest have their say after and not cut them off.

Lately I feel like Joy has been shooting her mouth off for the hell of it. No matter what she says, it sounds like she is saying it just so that she's not caught agreeing with Zilla/Bitsy, or else she's playing Devil's Advocate.

She's probably bored. God knows I would be too if I were in her place.

Yesterday, Joy started ranting about how the Government wasn't doing enough to prevent terror, but she really didn't do a goo job at expressing what she thinks the government should do. Then she said that terrorists terrorize so that they can get citizens of the world to challenge their leaders about the way in which worldwide politics are handled, soooooo, she thinks that people should subsequently challenge their leaders about the way in which worldwide politics are handled. Meredith disagreed with that and said that she refuses to let terrorists have that kind of power/control over her, and it was kind of heated. It's really rare that you see Meredith and Joy go at one another like that.

Oh, that was all so fucked up. I think Bitsy knows that people don't like her, so she sometimes goes out of her way to try to look funny--and she fails quite badly. It's not even funny watching her fail. It was funny though, to watch the audience members dodge the ice cream balls she was throwing at them.

Meredith's kids didn't look like they were too happy to be up there with her, and it was so stupid when they got to tasting the champagne ice cream float--one second Bitsy was joking about giving the kids alcohol, and then the next second she was drinking the boozed-up float and saying something like "Haha Look what I get to have!!!!" to the children, as she shook her body in some weird way. I wonder how Meredith felt about that.
