I liked Debbie on the show. She better be careful when she writes a tell-all. Some employers like Oprah make you sign on the dotted line to basically keep your mouth shut. And I can just see Star suing over it too. I loved the SNL parodies.

Was Debbie a guest host on SNL? Was she part of a skit about The View with Terry Morgan playing Star? SNL was the reason why Debbie was fire. BW was very upset when SNL would make fun of The View.

Yes, Debbie did play herself in a skit about the show on SNL, but I thought she went on after she was already fired. That's what I think I remember.
I remember the last episode of "Good Day Live", Steve and Arthel were talking about what they were going to do next in their career, and Debbie didn't say anything. Steve then said something to her like "You're not telling us what you're doing next", and Debbie said something brief about how she's keeping it a secret for now. I immediately started to wonder if she does have some sort of tell-all type thing planned, but she wants to keep it quiet since Star is so lawyer happy.
Since someone has brought up Oprah, I remember when Lisa Ling went on Oprah to talk about bride burning in India (or maybe it was violence in the Congo--I think LL did stories on both). At the end of the show she thanked Oprah for giving her the opportunity to bring that piece onto her show, and she said something like "Not many shows would allow for these kinds of stories", or something like that. Considering she was a host on a talk show, it's not too hard to figure out what that means. I wonder who kept her from doing pieces on such topics on "The View".
Didn't Lisa do some serious news thing before she came onto the show? What was it called? Channel One?

I always thought Lisa was too intelligent for that show. Maybe on the DUH side when it came to bullsh*t things discussed on the show, but very intelligent OFF the show.

Odd how the View would market the show like it's this great liberator of women as it comes to media and ends up being even more repressive. Scary, really.

Remember when Lisa Ling was a guest on Good Day Live, Debbie ask Lisa to have lunch after the show, Lisa eyes were saying Yes....she didn't want to answer Debbie on the air, If they had lunch.....I would of love being a fly on the wall Debbie omitted she was very depress after she was fired she could not leave her apartment days after this happen.

This is from way back in the thread, but, umm..... jeez. It's called Power and Control and worldwide terrorists are no different than people who batter their spouses. They don't bomb shit to change world politics. They do it to inspire fear. I am very against the war, but I fully support our troops, but to not understand the dynamics of violence is ig'nant. Choosing to harm another human being is ALL about power and control, whether you are bombing the crap out of a nation or punching your wife. The root of all violence is POWER and CONTROL.
The terrorists could really give a shit whether or not we change our foreign policies (though we should). They only want to TERRORIZE the rest of us into submission.
We should not tolerate it, but bombing the shit out of who we think is the perpetrator is not the answer.
Anyway, off of my soapbox, Bitsy is just the most stupid person I have ever seen on TV. I only watch, on occasion, to snark at Stah.

Does anyone remember the woman who won The View ultimate make over? It was more than a make over. The woman got dental work, a new wardrobe, etc. They were going to do a follow-up show. I was wondering how the woman made out? I stopped watching the show by then. Does anyone remember?

I think The View will be running re-runs for the month of Aug. The View will have all new shows in Sept. for sweeps.
