Part of the problem is Elisabeth is such a lousy communicator, part of her frustration springs from not being able to get her point across. She comes across as so infantile it's embarrassing.

She sees things from her frame of reference based on her life experience which is more insulated and protected and doesn't have the ability to truly understand other points of view. So basically she's like most people on this planet.

I haven't watched in a long time, but Elisabeth's appearance has definitely changed and not for the better. She looks generic and plastic.

I too watched the show today, well more liked listening while making lunch, found myself laughing out loud. The rest of the panel seemed surprised, maybe they thought that these little fits had pasted. I love the producer Bill thanking Elizabeth for crying on his birthday. I think he was really saying grow up!

Wednesday was awesome. Whoopi asked Elizabeth is she had ever used a vibrator and she said no, never. Whoopi's response, "Oh, you will." I gotta start taping this show again.

This month is rating month so we are going to see breakdowns from EH. BG was happy she had a breakdown.{what a great Birthday present she gave him}. The View never celebrated his Birthday before. Bonnie Hunt, Marie Osmond will have there own talk shows this Fall. GMA may have a Fourth hour. The View may only have a few more years.

What the F is wrong with Shirley MacLaine?? I've always known she was out there, but on today's show she just seemed senile and damn rude. And hey, usually I am all for people being mean to Elisabeth, but she was just out of line, I thought. However, in her defense, my first thought was maybe she's supposed to take medication and forgot, or something...
Also, there was something called "Sugarland" performing on today's show, and I'll be happy to never put my ears through that again. Ever. All in all, a very bad day over at The View.

What did Shirley do?

Elizabeth asked her a very reasonable question about something she said in her book, all while Shirley stared at her blankly, and then said "I have no idea what you're talking about." Elisabeth then said, "It's on the card", holding it up; meaning, she was scripted to ask it. It was very rude and created an extremely tense moment for all.

I thought the rudeness was on Bitsy/The View's side. Holding up the card and making clear everything was scripted created the tense moment. And to be fair to Shirley, Bitsy's question was really unclear.
