Well... I just caught up on the entire fourth season including the finale. I'm fairly satisfied with how it all ended especially considering that the last 2 seasons were never intended to be in the first place. Mahone and Lang is definitely the best of all the endings and Mahone (read: Fichtner) really did carry the entire season so it was well deserved. The journey of Mahone's character was the most interesting of all.
I loved that they brought back C-note and, especially, Kellerman but the whole bit with Kellerman working against the company all this time seemed kind of cobbled together (but hey.. it is Prison Break). As for Michael's death... maybe it's denial but I'm unconvinced. Faked deaths are not exactly uncommon in PB-verse. Everyone else pretty much got what they deserved.

And hey, in a story like this, you know one of the brothers had to die and if it were Linc, that would have made the whole thing pointless in the first place. That's what would have made the ending awesome. I would have laughed and laughed and laughed. I totally forgot about Sofia. When they said, "Do you want to see what we did to your girlfriend?" I was thinking they had tape of Veronica getting whacked, or something. Mahone and Lang totally made me go, "Awww." I think I even said it out loud. While I was watching it alone. *cough*

It would have been totally awesome if they left the building after Kellerman magically got them out of trouble and they were all "Yay! It's over! We're free!" and then Linc gets hit by a bus and Michael's standing there all "Shit!!"

At least it would not have been sexist (IMO).

They could have all turned into puppets, and if Scofield died, I still would have cried. Actually, I would have done backflips if they did that. Really! What was anyone expecting? I am shocked that it wasn't even crazier. I loved that drek, because it was exactly what I wanted, but I was surprised that good ole LJ who was the reason for season 3 was nowhere to be found. He must have got ugly or something. (If the actor died, I'm going to confession and feeling terrible.) Can't wait for that DVD!

Ok, I'll admit at the end, when they were signing their papers I thought something would go horribly wrong one last time. I mean, I've been conditioned for five years to think someone would crash through the window or get stabbed in the neck with a pen at any moment. Oh, me too! It was just too easy. I looked at my clock and there were still 15 minutes left... so I knew there had to be some trouble ahead! (Hee, "stabbed in the neck with a pen" reminds me of BSG... Would have loved to hear Michael say "Butterfingers!") Exactly my problem with their Greatest Lurve Of All. They met in April and he died in November - hello? I bet Mahone spent more time with Michael overall! My guess is: to have Spawn Of Scofield. Which is a total cliche. And yes, Went Miller really wanted Michael dead, from what I've read and heard. Hee! And how 'bout Sucre? To paraphrase a post I read on another board: I'm surprised he didn't thrown himself upon the grave screaming "Papi!" (Well, by then he'd had 4 years to accept it - but at the funeral? For sure!) Here's the drink of your choice, iClaudia, my treat. Cheers! TPTB said they couldn't get the actor, for whatever reason. Finally: this little video made me choke up even more than the finale did - it's so sweet! (It takes a while to start, but it's well worth the wait.)

You know what I thought was odd? The whole "you're not really brothers" subplot with mom. I mean, does anyone give a sh*t at this point if they're blood brothers? They were always introduced with different last names... it seemed like a really random and unnecessary plot point, esp. for a finale.

Like either of them would just be like "Oh, we're not biological brothers? Well then screw him!" after everything that they'd been through. But I thought Ma Scofield was kinda silly in general. I'm glad Dr. Sara killed her.

I actually forgot Gretchen was dead and hoped she'd killed Ma Scofield... Now she was a badass.

(Well, by then he'd had 4 years to accept it - but at the funeral? For sure!) That's the only reason I'd watch the dvd, to be honest. Yeah. The DUN DUN DUNN discovery that Linc and Michael weren't really brothers was like, "What?" Who gives a shit. That was the most pointless plot line of the series (and that's saying a lot). Wait, what? The entire four year series was only 6 months "in real life" for them? Uhh, OK. So they spent less than a month and a half in each season? WTFEver! I hate you, Prison Break! I'm glad you're over! Hoars!
