The reason the show won't be back so soon is that HBO has over shows lined up for the next year. Maybe they should think of a new spin off channel just for their shows? The good news is that those two lovable guys will be back again. In the last show we can see a perview of things to come , Rome was burning.

I can't believe this show only got technical Emmy nominations. It honestly deserved better.
Polly Walker and Lindsay Duncan? Ciaran Hinds? Kevin McKidd and Ray Stevenson?
NADA!
what a shame!

I just watched the first episode- I'm already hooked! I especially like it since I studied Classics in school ( hello useless major!) and it's pretty good for accuracy. I like that they show the crude violence and sex, since that was such a part of Roman society. Bread and circuses and all that good stuff.

I love the orator and his gestures. The next time I address a group of people, I'm gonna do that.

Sniff sniff.... I just finished the season, and I felt sorry for Ceasar and Vorenus. Though, I can't wait until the second season.

I bought the DVD set too and gobbled up all the episodes in less than two weeks. Didn't catch it the first time around but I love this show!
I'm thinking of re-naming my pet tarantulas Atia & Servilia. Their final scene together was COLD.

Ads are up *everywhere* here in town. Just awesome close-ups of the actors, some with "graffiti" (i.e. - Pullo is a Thug, Servilia is a Murderer). Point of the ads is that it returns in January. Yay! I went straight to the Pullo scenes on the DVD. For the dialogue, of course.
