Anyone else still watching? The season finale was unintentionally hilarious. First Dean became Alt!Michael's host to kill Lucifer, then they had a ludicrous wire-fu fight where Ackles and Pelligrino were strung up like pinatas, following by much flailing of limbs, followed by Alt!Michael reneging on their deal, and ended with Jensen dressed like something out of Peaky Blinders, and a freeze frame of glowing eyes. They should just go for comedy next year.

So now Jensen is the Archangel Michael: Feast your eyes on this!Check out this thrilling fight scene, the culmination of the entire 'Dean as Michael' years long arc: Everybody was Kung Fu Fighting!Jensen and Mark Pellegrino are strung up like pinatas and get in a slap fight, mid-air. Oh goody, I can't wait! Even the hardened Deannuts are having a hard time spinning this as a positive for Jensen.

They're having a hard time spinning it as a good thing for Jensen, or just that air... battle? Because, if THIS is finally the tipping point of where the Rabid Crazies are dipping out... lolol. As much as I used to love this show, they need to just can it. It's really got nothing left.

The deanuts on Previously TV haven't given up yet, but they're in pre-emptive whine mode, claiming that Jensen is being short changed/Sam is being glorified, etc., all before any episodes have been aired.
Yeah, it should have ended years ago, at least after season eleven when they introduced God, and thwarted their umpteenth apocolypse. There's nothing more they can do with the characters, and frankly, they both look like they're too old for this.

I remember watching the fifth season finale and thinking it was weird that the writers hadn't figured out how to write in such a way that accommodated the show's small budget--I still fondly remember the unintended comedy of Sam and Lucifer falling into a backdrop I could have made in MS paint fifteen years ago. Can't believe they still haven't figured that out but I guess there is no motivation for them to do so.

Yeah, two seasons of buildup ended with two men falling into a hole after a yellow crayon speech. Talk about anticlimactic.
S14(!) starts Thursday. I think I'll watch it in hopes of another hilarious wire fight and/or Jensen's glowing eyes of evil.

The little bit of evil Dean I saw was ridiculous, like Jensen was channeling Sonny Corinthos. Was he a better actor than that before? I have to admit I haven't watched since midway through season five.

He was always limited, but he seems to have gotten worse.
