Congrats to Amy Schneider, whose 22 consecutive wins is the most for a woman in the show’s history.

I have fond memories of watching this show (and “Wheel of Fortune”) with my deaf maternal grandmother, who love the show because she didn’t have to look at close captioning so much.

My brothers and I had friends over one night to play Trivial Pursuit when it was the hot new game--my brothers' friends got really freaked out because I was getting so many answers right, and quit playing. That was somewhat better than the time a friend's fiance accused me of cheating.

Both times, I explained that as a child, both my parents loved watching Jeopardy!, and I did, too--so much so that I was reading the answers myself at four and five years old. Between the people who thought I was cheating at Trivial Pursuit, and the kindergarten teacher who took a Dr. Seuss book away from me when I was reading to my friends, and told me, "We don't read in kindergarten, divasahm..." it's no wonder that I spent so many evenings and weekends reading, instead of hanging out with my peers...

Because society is horrible, current Jeopardy champion Amy Schneider was robbed over the New Year’s weekend.

Luckily, she won that night (with 40-day win streak from November 17, 2021 to January 26, 2022) and is over $1.3 million!
