I can't help thinking the entire thing was staged. Nobody seemed to cry real tears, you know, the kind that actually stream down your face. If any of this were remotely real from an emotional standpoint, there would have been ugly crying. Lauren did the dab the eyes thing in the limo. Becca did the head in hands thing. Arie did the blank stare/moist eyes/pouting man-sad thing. Nope. Not buying any of it! Arie was so blah and dull. He's a boring, unintelligent spoiled daddy's boy who cruised through life. There's absolutely nothing interesting or entertaining about this guy. Hence, the manufactured drama. They really need to do a better job finding bachelors that are actually desirable. I'm torn on whether Becca was fully in on it. It seems clear that things weren't all hearts and flowers and she knew that Lauren was still in the picture in some way (apparently Tia was with Lauren when Arie reached out, there's no way she didn't share that immediately), but whether she knew it was going to be an ambush dumping on camera...I'm not sure. I don't even know what to say about last night's parade of tone deafness. Proposing in front of a crowd that's spent the last 2 day hating your guts? Okay then. I hope Lauren's happy with her "prize" for now, I don't see them making it down the aisle. That'll be Lauren's third failed engagement and the girl is only 25 years old. She just seems so dim. She asked Arie why he didn't pick her in the first place and his reply was something like "I just kept thinking about what a great wife Becca would be" and Lauren didn't even catch the insult in there.

No talk of the current season, with Pilot Pete?
Because I would someone, anyone, to explain how that little brat has a rose and the one who actually said the L word, does not?
Victoria is a petulant teenager. I don't get it.

Victoria has serious issues but I wasn't surprised Peter kept her. He loves the dramz. Plus, Kelsey was a snoozefest, and Hannah Ann is "the one," I'm pretty sure, so Victoria had to stay.

I haven't watched the most recent episode yet (we are Hulu people), but based on what I've seen thus far he just REALLY wants to bang Victoria and also is a big ol' dumdum soooo this is all at least consistent if not even remotely intelligent or sensible. Hannah Ann is such a child, though, that seeing them together makes me actively uncomfortable. Five years isn't a big age difference in the abstract but she comes across as unusually sheltered.

I was just saying to HGTV last night that he needs to take a long, hard look at why he is going for someone SO young. She's 23, she's an adult, he's not technically doing anything wrong but, I agree, she seems very young.

I don't know if anyone's watching this season but I am LOVING IT. Clare is so bad at this and it is great tv. The most recent episode absolutely flew by for me and that's rare. I am a little apprehensive that {Spoiler}Tayshia (trying to be extra cautious about spoilers!) will be a bit of a letdown after all this, but editing-wise they have done a really good job of making all the drama surrounding that seem inevitable. Also I hope Yosef never knows happiness.

I have never watched a single moment of the Bachelor/Bachelorette, but I thought I'd check out this season because of the promos, and it's been a pretty fun few weeks of ridiculousness. I might duck out now that the Clare/Dale nonsense is wrapped up though. Deuxmoi says they are no longer together. Shocker! I have to note that in the scene tonight where all 16 douchebags were sitting around in their suits, they all were wearing tight little highwater pants, no socks, and loafers. In 20 years, there are a lot of men who are going to look back at what they were on 2020 and be really embarrassed.

In 20 years, there are a lot of men who are going to look back at what they were on 2020 and be really embarrassed. Agreed, Bachelor men's fashion has been embarrassing for the last couple years. I cannot wait until this trend skinny capris and no socks goes out of fashion. Clare has to be one of the most immature almost-40-year-olds I've ever seen. She has all the subtlety of a Mack truck and a laser focus on her crush, attributes mostly commonly seen on teenage girls. I'm sorry she dipped out though, it was certainly entertaining to watch her being entirely tone-deaf to the guys. "So tell me about yourself, what did you mean when you said X about Dale." "What do YOU think Dale thinks of me" etc. That was quality entertainment. My memory of Tayshia was that she was a bit of a plastic pageant girl on camera. I'm sure she has more depth to her personality in real life, but she was a smiley robot on the show.

Ok, now I'm reading that he stalked a woman from the show? Whaaaaat? I haven't watched The Bachelor in a million years, but yeah, apparently stalked his ex and she got a restraining order: link

There weren’t rumors in the sense of “someone saw him at a gay bar” but there was a lot of speculation for sure. I guess I feel bad for him a little but many many people manage to struggle with their sexuality without putting a tracker on anyone’s car. So.
