I saw the trailer for Match Point this weekend. He looks mighty fine, but the film looks like a Gen Y remake of Fatal Attraction. When the credit "A Film by Woody Allen" came up people started laughing. Maybe Woody figured he'll never be Bergman so he's shooting for Adrian Lyne?

I didn't think he came off too bad in the interview. He sounded intelligent enough, I thought.
Certainly honest--when he said he couldn't be involved with another actor, because there just isn't enough room in a relationship for two--well, I happen to agree with that. Most of those type of relationships do break up when just one hits it really big. (Not that I think JRM's current relationship has a chance of survival, but it's got nothing to do with that, specifically....)
He sure is "pretty" and I liked watching him in Bend it Like Beckham. He's able to give off an enormous amount of sex appeal/charisma or whatever onscreen, tiny guy or not (aren't most male, popular actors pretty short actually?)

Maybe you're right. I reread the interview, and it didn't seem as bad as when I first read it. Perhaps I was just cranky the first time.

Damn, that boy is fine! You know he is the sort of guy you'd end up in bed with, and the next day, wake up all roughed up and dirty and think "how in the world did THAT happen?"
Yep, hot as hell, but he's got to be crazy as a loon. And you can tell that just by looking at pictures at him, which is kind of weird.
I saw the Match Point trailer before Brokeback Mountain last week, and it looks interesting. He looks amazing, and the coupling of him and Scarlet Johannsen is very sexy indeed.

He was very pretty in Velvet Goldmine but he does absolutely nothing for me. He is a decent actor capable of playing a wide range of parts and Match Point looks pretty good (I love Woody, though) but I just don't find him to be compelling on screen.

He is one of those actors whose rise to fame makes me say "Why?" rather than "Yes!".

He can be attractive. I do find him really compelling and a great actor.

Though, he seems a bit loony.

I would not he's the best actor in the world--I WOULD, however. say he's one of the most STRANGE actors I've seen, but also the sexiest. I can't help it, he really turns me on. Anyone else?? Can I get a witness?
p.s.--I still think he at LEAST must be bisexual.

Yes, he does have a real strangeness to him that most Hollywood actors do not have. I think that may work to his advantage in Match Point, I am looking forward to seeing it.
