I'm so confused. Isn't tonight, at 10 pm EST/9CST, supposed to be the finale? I'm seeing a repeat, and they have nothing scheduled for the next hour on my online TV guide. When is the 2nd part of the finale?

Gah, I'm so frustrated with myself. I should know that it's on Wednesdays but, all week, I've been a day off on everything.

On topic, here is Lee Anne's MySpace site. She has Harold and Candace listed among her friends, so you can check out their pages as well. Harold's is pretty amusing with the loud Beastie Boys music and the French Fry/Caterpillar sex cartoon someone posted.

I am thrilled that Harold won! He deserved it for so many reasons. I was a bit irritated that the judges kept tossing around the "playing it safe" quip. It was so dismissive. His nerves were adorable. He had the shakes during that very first challenge and he had them at the end!

Tiffani almost had me. I was really impressed with her idea to create 2 versions of each dish. And shame on Dave and Stephen for coming into work all hung over. But she just doesn't have any kind of self awareness. She's rude, plain and simple. She cannot concede any point. (To be fair, I think that's her tell for when her nerves get the better of her. Harold's hands shake when his adrenelin starts pumping while Tiff's arrogance increases.)

And did she actually claim credit for her dessert?

I'm so glad Harold won. I was nervous there for a while, thinking they'd be swayed by Lorraine Bracco's obvious preference for Tiffani and her "balls."

I didn't think it was possible for my loathing for Tiffani to increase but it has. From the huge, smug smirk on her face when she heard that Harold had over-cooked the quail, to the comment that *Harold* had stabbed her in the back just because the OTHER people preferred to work for him. HE stabbed you, Tiffani? Sorry, you stabbed yourself, you stupid cow with almost nonexistent ears! No wonder 93% of the public's vote was for Harold, not you. Did the television public stab you in the back too, you obnoxious little viper?

I can't even get into the dessert situation. Just. Can't. Maybe tomorrow when I'm less irate.

Did Tiffani admit the dessert was Dave's? Probably not.

I'm so glad Harold won, though I really wanted LeAnn to win it all. Oh, well. Anyone's better than Tiffani and Stephen.

My DH and I went nuts LAUGHING over that poll! 97% Harold...07% Tiffani! LOL. It's STILL hysterical. The poll made more sweet by her delusional 'backing into Harold's knife' comment. And her OUTRAGEOUS claim that she somehow "assisted" Dave with the dessert.

Even funnier than the poll? Tiffani crying that she didn't win.

Taylor wins. Harold wins. A delicious Wednesday evening of programming!

Chef Tom Collichio's latest blog entry is pretty interesting. He portrays Tiffani in a very sympathetic light, talking about the obstacle she had to overcome with two of her team members showing up drunk. He says they weren't just hung over - they were still drunk.

Also, his comments on the dessert issue....

So why did Harold win?

Not because we credited Dave with Tiffani's desserts. Regardless of what Dave says about the panna cotta recipe being his, the finishes on both of Tiffani's desserts were consistent with her detailed and polished style. Tiffani clearly built on her coworker's original idea, but I think that is perfectly acceptable in this arena. (Harold acknowledged that he did the same, but neither Lee Anne nor Miguel made a big deal out of it.) A team is a team, and “ownership” of any one recipe under these circumstances is silly — it boils down to interpretation and execution, along with the leadership to pull it all together.

Cliche I know, but...WORD!

Yeah it is bad that Stephen and Dave showed up drunk, but if I had to work with the monster I would be pounding them back too. And as for the desert, woman couldn't give credit where credit was due until she was called on it. DAVE WAS ROBBED!
