Despite Chef Tom's constant apologist attitude toward Tiffany, she still 1) never denied tampering with other people's ovens, 2) took credit for Dave's dessert, and 3) blamed Harold for the fact that people liked him and not her.
And maybe if Dave and Stephen respected Tiffany they would not have shown up late and drunk. So I blame her for that, too. They clearly didn't take the task as seriously as they would have if it were Harold; and when you don't care if your boss wins, the pressure is off and you don't care about showing up on time and sober. All of it can be traced back to her selfish behavior and lack of courtesy and honor where her peers are concerned.
Yay Harold!!!!! He was so cute when he kept taking swigs of vodka in the kitchen.

I liked Harold the best and I'm glad he won. I just find Colicchio's comments interesting. He seems to be going out of his way to say that Tiffani is not the demon that the viewers think she is. As far as the two who showed up drunk - they are responsible for their own behavior - it's quite a stretch to blame Tiffani for their unprofessional behavior last night.
Colicchio on the theory that Tiffani turned down the oven:

Yea "Tiff's integrity"...How about that blatent lie you caught her in taking credit for Dave's dessert Tom? How about that? SO glad that hell spawn did not win. YEA for Harold!! ANyone notice how fast she started to talk when Tom questioned her about Dave's dessert. That was a liar trying to climb out of the hole they just tripped into. She got that far because Tom likes her. He has a warmth and twinkle in his eye when he talks to her. I couldn't help but remark to the TV "try being nice" when she was crying over her loss. I have to sign my name to this post, I so very much agree with it: I'm so glad Harold won. I was nervous there for a while, thinking they'd be swayed by Lorraine Bracco's obvious preference for Tiffani and her "balls." Signed; WhitefalconI didn't think it was possible for my loathing for Tiffani to increase but it has. From the huge, smug smirk on her face when she heard that Harold had over-cooked the quail, Signed; Whitefalconto the comment that * Harold* had stabbed her in the back just because the OTHER people preferred to work for him. HE stabbed you, Tiffani? Sorry, you stabbed yourself, you stupid cow with almost nonexistent ears! Signed; WhitefalconNo wonder 93% of the public's vote was for Harold, not you. Did the television public stab you in the back too, you obnoxious little viper? Signed; Whitefalcon

Yes, I guess my point was that her character has a detrimental effect on her peers and potential employees, which directly translates to their behavior. I really think their attitude was wholly influenced by this, and even though they are ultimately responsible for getting trashed, her leadership skills are sorely lacking. I don't 'hate' her, but she doesn't know how to inspire loyalty. As for the ovens, of course there were cameras everywhere, but I find it highly bizarre that she did not deny the rumors. Instead, she came up with a laughable excuse about being unfamiliar with them. Why not just say 'hey I may have screwed up the temps by mistake'? So strange, and very lacking in self-awareness.
I understand why Chef Tom keeps defending her, because I was one of those in the beginning who kept saying I didn't get the overwhelming bitch vibe that people were attributing to her. I still don't (I've seen so much worse in terms of 'bitchiness'). But I have become pretty tired of her unrelenting inability to just own up to stuff.

WTF is it with Tom C.'s hate for Dave? Dave could cure some deadly disease and C. would STILL find someway to turn it around and make Dave look like a jackass.
And so WHAT that Dave and Stephen showed up drunk, Tom C.? According to the judges, of which you were one, it was a "very difficult decision" to narrow down the winner. Clearly, their state of mind did NOT interfere with the quality of the dishes either one prepared so I fail to see how this is some negative? Frankly, they could have done MUCH more to undermine the pumpkin head had they so chosen. But they didn't. There was no criticism of terrible food because her helping hands tied on one. Unprofessional as it was, they were on a TV show were they were no long competing for anything. I don't see it as much of a testament to either's professionalism in a real world setting.
Shut up, Tom C. I would never pay a DIME to eat in one of your restaurants. No, go scurry off and marry Tiffani.

Chef Tom has always been predisposed to defend Tiffany and downgrade Dave. He's like one of those teachers that brands each student with a letter grade on the first day of class, and no matter what the kid does, he won't be able to bring his grade up (or tank his score, whatever the case may be).
It's a good thing I'm not a judge, I'd be chucking fruit at people's heads.
Teacher Stephen makes me want to punch him, Drunk Stephen makes me laugh.

I get that vibe from him as well. I hope he doesn't return next season. And I'm loving Stephen since he was kicked off. Who knew? And Stephen and Dave , as well as evry single person in that house had no respect for Tiffani, that is why they didn't care. However, they showed up and did what they were asked to do and did it well. Period. So well if fact, she almost won because of them. I think I dislike both Tom and Tiffani now.

I just watched the finale again since I was falling asleep throughout last night's show.
Dave may wind up cooking at the Betty Ford Center if he doesn't stop drinking the way he does. Just about every scene showed him with a drink in his hand. Which brings me to the wine glass that Tiffani asked him to remove from the line - everyone who has ever worked in a kitchen knows that you do not put glassware anywhere near food. If the glass breaks, pieces of it could shatter into the dishes below and you have to toss everything. Dave may have no respect for Tiffani - but what about respect for himself? He made himself look bad with his constant "She's a bitch" mantra, plus showing up to work still drunk from the night before. That behavior was somewhat mitigated by his offering his dessert dish to Tiffani, but also, I'm sure there was a bit of ego working there too - who wouldn't want their dish to be served to the judges?
Yes, it's just a TV show, but if you think about it - don't we all work with someone we dislike - do we all go around making faces at that person and mumbling "bitch'' all day?
Tiffani's interpersonal skills are sorely lacking, although I do think she was trying to be a bit nicer, although it was too little too late. Still, I can't help but wonder if the other chefs would have been as hard on her if she were a male chef - would she have been perceived as a 'take charge' chef instead of the predictable fall back - bitch?
Still, I am glad that Harold won - his food was consistently good. I don't know how strong he is at team building - was it that the others really wanted to work for him - or did they really not want to work for Tiffani?
