I am watching the fucking show to see them make food, not to see them be as rude as they possibly can to each other for no other reason than air time. I agree. Definitely too soon and irrelevently making personalities the focus, not the food. I think Betty shows serious promise. She was 2nd in the Quick Fire challenge and her food during the main challenge got high praise. Obviously, it's too soon to tell how consistent or strong she will be, but she seems nice *and* talented.

Huh? I thought she said she was gay? Or is she bisexual now?

Huh? I thought she said she was gay? Or is she bisexual now? In the Bravo profiles and unassociated news articles, she's always been described as bisexual.

kafka, thanks for that article on Tiffani. I'm glad to see that she is doing well. I thought she got a bit of a raw deal with the editing of the program. She's a human being, not the Anti-Christ.
Looks like Harold has either been eating a lot or drinking a lot. I don't care too much for the double chin - he looked much better when he didn't have that.

While I can enjoy a man with some meat on his bones, Harold just looks puffy and bloated. He doesn't look right being chunky.

In the TV section of today's NY Post there is a column called "The Real Deal" headlined 'Meat the Chef'. It has direct quotes from Tom Colicchio talking about last season. He says that all of this season's contestants "think they need to be like Harold" but that they might be better served fashioning themselves after Tiffani.
He says he "thought she was a really good cook."
Interestingly, he seems to still be irritated about Dave and Stephen showing up drunk when they were supposed to be helping her.

Well, Tom, I would say it's also unprofessional to give a team of chefs less than a day to plan and prepare a 5 course meal for a wedding reception and then ask them to use a grocery store to find the supplies. So suck it.

Oh, Tom. The more you try to apologize for Tiff and revisit/rewrite history, the more it makes me think otherwise (and I didn't even hate her!) Geeez, get over it man! And who cares if Dave and Stephen were drunk? We all know it's unprofessional, but the fact is she lost, and not because of them! It's also unprofessional to take credit for other people's desserts, and it's also unprofessional to crack eggs on people's heads (Ken), and it's also unprofessional to feign nausea and run off the stage when you are being confronted about your behavior, and it's also unprofessional to act like a big gas bag (Stephen). Sigh.
On a lighter note, I think Marcel looks like a combination of Teen Wolf, Flock of Seagulls, and a troll doll.
Edited because it is not professional to assault people with eggs.

When I read the article, I couldn't help but wonder if there were some tension between Harold and Colicchio. I mean why bring up Tiffani when the new season just started with Harold as a guest judge?
The piece ended with Colicchio's best advice for the new group of competing chefs "Stay sober and combine the best of Harold and Tiffani. Be quietly ambitious."
Looks like the guys showing up drunk really infuriated him. I wonder if he was more angry at the fact that they may have put the show in a bad light or that they didn't act the way that he thought chefs should act.

SUSHI!!!!!!!!!! I'm so hungry now, I could die. I love sushi with a passion. And, my God, 2 of my other favorite cuisines are being featured too! I love this series.
Marcel is like Wolverine turned ugly. Who has hair like that these days? Even the chap from Grease would be horrified!
God, I think I would sell my soul for some sushi or some Korean. Bulgoki right now.
Must. Remember. To. Eat. Dinner. Before. Watching. This. Show.
