And how "above it" can you be if you have gone on a reality t.v. show? Or when you work in a service industry where you have to.. like... you know.... actually cater to someone else's tastes?! When Tiffany was getting on her high horse about refusing to lower her standards and never changing anything even if the customer asked, my reaction was: Well, then, go cook for yourself. On a desert island. Where you won't have to come down to the lowly pleblian level. And if I hear one more of these chefs talk about their integrity, or words to that effect, when describing how they simply refuse to do something below them, I'll scream. From Harold grumbling about the convenience store challenge, to one entire team refusing to sell to the children, to Stephen rabbiting on about how he's only used to cooking 4-star meals, enough already. We got it. You're great chefs. You think you're God's Left Testicle and someone should just hand you a $100,000 already. Great. Now get back to your task and cook something which the Hispanics in the Mission district might actually like. Chop, chop.

Seriously, what was up with the rare Tuna cart? Who's going to voluntarily eat rare tuna from a cart on the street? I don't care if there are TV crews around. I'm not eating anything raw of the street. A soup in a cup would of been nice of they wanted to do something different maybe a noodle sort of tortilla soup? And Miguel should have gone home last night for being such a general waste of space and refusing to take responsibility for his own stupidity.

Actually, the tuna was only kinda rare in the middle: you saw Harold searing the tuna. But yeah, as soon as I saw that they were using tuna in their dish, I knew that they would lose. I doubt even remembering to bring the jicema would have helped. I like tuna but dont love tuna. In fact, I havent eaten tuna in 3 years and it would be one of the last things I would pick as street food.

I love tuna, but even I would have been hesitant to eat tuna from a street cart, no matter who was offering it. Just not a good idea.

I caught a few episodes on Bravo today but missed how Andrea (I think that's her name) was eliminated but then came back. What happened there?

Cynthia, the older lady, whose father was dying decided to quit the show to tend to him. Since the teams were unbalanced and since the prior elimination was between Cynthia and Andrea, and it had been a close call at the time, they brought back Andrea. To much muttering and resentment amongst the other competitors, it seems.
As a side note, at the end of the episode where Cynthia leaves, after the credits roll, there is a dedication to Cynthia's father. He must have died soon after she left since he seemed to be on the edge at the time of filming. I thought dedicating the episode to him was very sensitive and considerate.

I hope Tiffany is ousted soon because her attitude stinks to high heaven!! And yeah I agree with everyone else, who said that some are too snotty for their own good. I must admit that Stephen's dishes are always presented very nicely and I can definitly see him working in some chi-chi 4 star restaurant. I think it will ultimately come down to Harold and Lee Anne.

Could you imagine if Tiffani and Stephen ever had a child? First off it will never happen, I can't see Stephen wanting to mess up his clothes or hair do, let alone stick his member into somthing that isn't as sweet smelling as a 1984 bottle of Reisling (I know shit about wine so forgive me if that is completely off). But that child would be the most stuck up, snobbish, pretentous ass this side of the atlantic (Gwhinny is residing in the UK still right?).
I hate to choose a top 2 because this show can be more unpredictable with the challenges and the strengths and weaknesses of the Chefs.

Tuna aside, I love Harold. He and Lee Anne are my favorites, cooking-wise (purely conjecture on my part, since all we have to go by is the judges). But I like the mix of people they have, and am immensely relieved they got rid of Kenneth early on.
Stephen is annoying but I confess that I'm fascinated by him. I keep staring at his reaction shots and trying to figure out .... well, I'm not sure exactly what. I don't think I would enjoy his food. Too frou-frou.
